I'm an EV nerd and just want to thank and compliment you on this vid. It did a fairly good job of covering ALL my interest ... Trucks, motorcycles and economy cars. I hope you do this every model year.
Very interesting but we'll never be able to buy these cars in Europe. If they were ever imported the Europeans would immediately put a 200% tax on them.
There's an incredible amount of EVs that the EU market would clamour for were it not for the protectionist laws lobbied by industry and capital who hold nations hostage in their interest, who explicitly failed to invest R&D in EVs until getting caught with dieselgate.
I absolutely hate infotainment consoles in vehicles, they are extremely dangerous. Give me old fashioned analog controls with actual buttons and tactile indicators of where they are pointed. I don't mind a rear camera because they are handy and increase safety, but intigrate that with something like a clock, speedometer, or charge indicator and call it a day, no other displays needed. I drove tractor trailer over the road for a decade, and taking your eyes off the road to read a screen is dangerous, and that's why it wasn't allowed by law in trucks.
Tragically these days of late stage capitalism, the dash covered in screens records the driver (or occupant's) data and commodities it as revenue income or cloud capital. This is what Tesla pioneered
Unfortunately, none are allowed on the public roads of North America. I don't know or care about other parts. There is talk of UK allowing BYD imports, but talk costs nothing.
Ok guys thonk about this you purchase the car then 6 months lqtwr a yeqr later maybe 4 years later you nwed parts and thia modwl gone away looong timw past like a cell phone.
