Wicked little sesh there Sam!!!! Thanks for sharing your tips for catching and cleaning those squiddly diddlies. They've definitely helped me. Ive noticed that as much as drawing the squid to you with lights works well,often just moving 30 yrds or so left or right can help to improve those hookups. Keep the uploads coming mate 👍👍👍

If you put your thumb or finger and push down on the cone of the squid and keep pushing you can turn inside out and clean better. Great squid fishing matey.

whats the best type of ( squid light ) to use looking at the screwfix ( L E D work lamp ) never caught a squid but use then for bait off whitby tight lines Alain

These are just lights from work. Unsure of the make. I have a little rechargeable one I got from the local DIY shops. Cost like 45 quid

Interesting video, just getting back into sea fishing again, nobody bothers to tell you what time of year they are fishing for any of their videos which would be helpful.

Sorry bud usually my videos are In line with time of the year they are put out. Sorry - squid fishing usually here in jersey is late September October in November. Hope this helps

I am a squid hunter down the bottom of Australia. I use them for eating and bait. If I may suggest, when cleaning, first thing, just work your thumb under the feather at the mantle opening., push your thumb/fingers down into the mantle under the feather. Then hold the head and the feather together and pull and twist. All of the inside will come out whole. No mess, no broken ink sack. One other thing I would suggest is never, ever wash fish or squid in fresh water. Just trying to help Cheers..........

Yeah of course. I still have a small leader too. Just clip the rig to the clip you use to tie to a lure. Easy as chap

@@BeneathTheWavesFishingJersey No, not at all! What I was referring-to was when speaking to camera, you kept looking upwards and seemed distracted. You were probably looking for your mate arriving with the lights (or eyeing up the ladies, or keeping a lookout for the police!).
