@@theoilymaniac8073 have you checked on which language your keyboard is set as? It may be a different key in your keyboard. You could also check for the controls on the options menu

Hey man glad to hear that for you, but question. Do you ever get hit w/ "4000 troops is the limit for the device you are using" ? If so, do you know how to change that or tweak the settings of your computer so you can have more troops on screen w/o having to worry abt heavy lag issues?

It will always say the 4,000 limit. But you can go ahead playing with more. Too much will lower the fps but it's at least playable mostly

Yes, if a unit has more words in its name put the " " before the unit's names. I should clarify that you do have to press space, not have them crammed into a single loooong word

There are job-specific attributes, but I do believe intelligence is used by almost all agents. They just have different names for them.

It's their ancillaries and traits In the link there's a list of the different things they can have to improve their diplomacy However it's not always a guarantee they will get better as even fully trained spies and assassins can fail

That I do not know if it's possible, but it might be a good idea to check the link to see if there's anything there that could help. Some traits give extra levels on that

The create_unit cheat. All you need is to put the city or general's name and then the unit name, quantity (1-5) and xp The process_rq cheat doesn't work for some reason

Have you wrote the command correctly? Units have to be typed with quotation marks like this: create_unit London "Armored Swordsmen" 5 9 3 3

Cities in Spanish have to be written in their English name. So it would be just Cairo. For mods, you would use the " Tengo uno en español también

Most of the times for cities that have a name with two words you'll have to put the quotation marks before the name of the city, for example: process_cq "Vera Cruz" If that's not working try Vera_Cruz

Try hitting a different button or go to the game's settings to see the keys you use in the game. Sometimes the keyboards have a different settings

Specific buildings can't be added via cheats, but by writing "process_cq" (without the quotation marks) you can finish the construction of the building.

Sadly there's no way for multiple roles to be added at the same time. It would be great if they could. What can speed up the process is using the up key to copy the previous code so you only need to change the trait or ancillary of a character

Some units have other names. Search for the unit file in your Medieval 2 file to see their name if they don't appear Besides, musketeers are better than handgunners any day 😛

@@kyungsankim6438 if your faction doesn't have the ability to get musketeers in the Late period then you won't be able to see them as more than silvery figures. Since they're not part of the faction roster they don't have textures

@@kyungsankim6438 yep, in mods I've seen that it requires to put the faction name before the unit but it might be a different name in the files for vanilla

@@ADGZone Yes In my game the button that opens and closes the code tab is (") And when I click it to put the (")on the command, the command tab closes and I don't know how to change it

And because of that, I can't use almost any command

Yeah generals don't appear in a family tree because they're randomly generated by the game instead of already existing characters. I get the same difficulty most of the time which is why I create units I use cities and towns instead of generals

@@ADGZone i cant believe you answered something from all those years back! I love medieval total war 2 btw, never cheated before. so i got frustrated trying to achieve something and couldnt for ages! Ive done mad challenges like: as England put Robert and his whole army, on a boat, send it to Lisbon, then your preist merchant, and rufus and a unit of mailed knights on another boat, Turn 1/2 and send them to Lisbon to steal that, then on to Timbuktu and captured that by turn 20, and setup an empire over there, at the same time i knock out scotland with the king and his army and all the troops in England, then head straight to denmark, to knock those out. capture the rebel settlements in England later down the line,. Ive only ever played on VH/VH sorry for swearing in the last post i was getting frustrated at that point! much respect anyways my man! o7

I suppose you are referring to a max experience archer unit. For that it's the same "create_unit" cheat. When you create them put afterwards 9 3 3 after the quantity you want.

If it doesn't show up you might want to check on your key settings to see which key opens MedievalShell. It could be another key.

Press the up key to copy what was written before, if you wrote different things you only have to keep pressing up until you can get the cheat code you want

There's a limited amount of lines the computer remembers, I'd say 10-15 lines worth of memory And no problem. Make sure to subscribe if you want to get more tips and tricks
