There's so many fascinating stories in the Pokemon community that haven't been heard. I think its interesting to find things that have happened to Pokemon fans, even if its unfortunate stuff like stories of cheating in Pokemon TCG or play Pokemon. Getting cheated against at Pokemon regionals is a very common occurrence unfortunately and these Pokemon stories bolster that further.

So just to clarify if it already wasn't, asking for a number of cards in hand i usefull due to hand disruptions like iono ( put hand on the bottom of the deck and draw cards equal to amount of prizes left). Where decks like Lost box have like 15-20 cards in hands turn 2. Mainly people ask for those purposes but asking every 20 seconds i agree is sus.

Tcg should do a similar thing to what chess does with games and that is to write down each move. It would help a lot with keeping up with game states. Then after every game a judge can review each game and decide if it was fair play.

Is it possible to send in spy consoles? Ones designed to read the opponents’ teams, identify obvious hacks, and store opponent data to do a manual check later?

Now that’s an interesting story to get out of this. And correctly speaking, I always found TCG to be way too fast-paced for my liking compared to the Pokémon video games what with keeping track of every little thing going on in a match so as to ensure the player’s not trying anything sketchy as you keep the match intact in your head. So I would also wish for digital TCG, with the likes of Pokémon TCG Live, to be mainstream as that would deal with the cheating problem as well as taking the stress out of keeping up with each and every game state going on.

Stuff like that is why I always prefer Card Game Simulators that just already have the rules programmed in like Master Duel for Yu Gi Oh It kinda sucks because there is something special about having a physical deck in your hands and opening real life card packs, but there's just so much room for cheating whether intentionally or not with it I feel like at these bigger events it night be better to just run them electronically and have judges verify decks Or at least use some kind of AR interface to recognize things It also helps improve the viewer experience

Another reason I will never go to any Pokemon event lost to a hacked Mismagius in diamond and pearl and called foul play but was denied justice.

I like the idea of saying "then don't" when players say that they hate being called a cheater. If they attack you, in any way, that's assault, and you can sue them for that.
