i mean. pretty much everyone in VGC probably uses genned pokemon bc they don't wanna put time or effort into breeding and minmaxing their pokémon. not surprising tbh :/
Has anyone every given a good response to the moltres part for exemple? Bc all i see on yt is your videos and ppl calling you a liar or calling out the pkhex guy bc he made the software. Like yeah he did but does it change anything about ppl who cheats in competitive settings ? No. Also the pokemon community being mostly young ppl, do you need to do that much name calling and ad hominem? You're already right on the matter. With all the Modern conveniences, even minimal time investments into actually playing the game grants plenty of Resources That by default roll over into getting more resources even easier Heck outside of the First few soft seasons, once Home connections are up, the Team building just Snowballs (In ways that other games dont have acces to)
Even if you believe that acquiring pokemon illegitimately is wrong, I don't think that really disqualifies Wolfe or anybody from being a skilled pokemon player. You or I could go on pokemon showdown right now and make a VGC team and not do as well as Wolfe or many other pokemon pros would, simply because they are better teambuilders and players. You've said that hacking pokemon gives an "unfair advantage" but especially with hyper training, I would argue that the amount of times a 0 IV, attack or speed, has mattered, could really be counted on two hands. I firmly believe that hacking pokemon gives, at the very least, a miniscule advantage that would have very little bearing on the overall run of the tournament. If you can find a time where Wolfe's pokemon survived a foul play or outsped in trick room because of the IVs it would really contribute to your argument a lot more.

can someone please tell me what the big deal about using hacked pokemon that are legitimate is? Like why is that a bad thing beyond virtue? it is absurdly easy to gen pokemon and INCREDIBLY difficult, time consuming and boring to get a perfect team that would have the same stats and legality status as the genned pokemon? The genned pokemon wouldnt give an advantage over the legit mons other than time so whats the big deal?

@5:24 - well, off the top of my head, maybe a turret? Add a platform with weapons... If You are able to spin slower / correctly... you can point all weapons in a specific direction.
Like I said in the video. All the cheating and glitches ruined the enjoyment and fun in the game. A lot of the posts also became more and more inorganic and not cool

As far as I’m concerned if the Pokémon can be obtained legitimately then who cares if it’s obtained illegitimately whenever I’ve played online i used rental teams because I care more about using strategy then having to spend lots of time creating perfect Pokémon

I didn't know about shiny Pokémon until recently. I remember when I was a kid finding a weird looking Chansey, thought it was a glitch. I didn't catch it.
@@Verlisify Compare the process of making a competitive team in gens 3, 4, and even 5 compared to recent gens. The process has become objectively easier and faster. In theory, this would make each successive generation objectively worse as a competitive game. For example, let's say you wanted to train an optimal Alakazam in generation 1. You would need to fight over 65 thousand Magikarps, in addition to finding an Abra with the proper DVs. That difficulty should make Gen 1 a strictly superior game.
Impossible to know. Smogon has 2000 active battles right now, don't know how many of those are serious battles or comparable to a competitive format. We also don't know Pokemon active battles, online users, etc. I'd imagine just Japanese players on cart beats all Smogon

I dont like the amount of time it takes to create competitive pokemon. I would much prefer to see the pros be able to spend their time honing their actual battling skills since that is what the interesting part to watch is as well. However that does not excuse cheating... Rules exist to keep everyone on a level playing field so unless hacking in pokemon becomes legal no one should be allowed to do it.

I started following competitive VG in 2024 and I was wondering if everyone was using hacked Pokemon. How does scaling work? How much do stats really matter when everyone is scaled to 50? Should we assume all shines in tournament are hacked Pokemon?
the 2nd egg of my digtoise work speed pair was an alpha but only had 1 of 4 WS passives :/ it does make the eggs a tier higher (large becomes huge) so its easy to know what one is an alpha egg in breeding farm. i can also confirm before the update you couldnt get alphas as i had hatched well over 300+ eggs (was making both a raid chillet and WS digtoise) no alpha only wild eggs before the update.
I think the guy got confused with the alpha thing, because at first only the Bellanoir could be hatched as an alpha, but I believe the patch is now saying any pal can be hatched as an alpha.
Dumb question, Is it better breeding a male and female with two passives that you want on each with nothing else, or with all four passives you want on each, when trying to get an alpha pal with all the passives you want
Either or. The first option means you have a higher chance of getting an alpha pal with those SPECIFIC passives you want but you then have to breed on the other passives you want... The second option means if you do get an alpha pal with all 4 of the passives you want it's done you don't need to breed on extra passives BUT doing this increases the chance of you offspring having UNDESIRABLE and potentially even NEGATIVE passives. So it's a pick your poison type of deal. This also applies to normal pals not just alphas
Not a dumb question, from videos I have seen and from my personal experience breeding 100's of pals the best chance at getting the 4 passives is by having each parent with two of the passives you want ( Ex. Parent 1 ferocious legend, parent 2 musclehead ice emperor). Getting all 4 passives and alpha pal is going to be a serious grind though unless you are just extremelyyyy lucky
To be fair falling through the floor is a minor inconvenience if you have a flying pal but dang it I want my freaking dungeons to work. I stopped playing once I unlocked the good guns and I want my end game content to work
Can’t believe this is still technically an early access game. The game isn’t even “officially” released yet and it’s one of the best games out there rn.
