I do not at all understand how anybody can engage in cheating because they think their partner might not be cool with non-monogamy and then when they are caught cheating, expect the spouse to now be ok with it. But I guess she was going to use the announcement of her pregnancy to drop the hammer on him about the unethical non-monogamy since she thought she had him baby trapped. It doesn’t make sense though, that if she was trying to baby trap him, she wouldn’t have let everybody know that he has a child on the way to try to get him to come back home.
