@@dustinmannel3071 right the jobs one thing hell I can be a bleeding heart. I mean I’ve spent over 35g on my niece in the last two years cause her mother’s a joke and her dad’s a deadbeat. And 10g on a goddaughter cause her mom was going to surrogate for my gf and I, she backed out. But I got burnt and won’t help them again and they know it and if my gf stands by me 1000 percent. Hell she’s told me if I was ever to help the friend with money again she’d leave me lol so I got a good one at least in that department

Stop it. The AP is NOT a nice man. I don't care how he treats them. Nice men don't covet, seduce, and cheat with married women. A nice man with financial success would have no problem finding a plethora of single women to look for a relationship with. It takes a real slease to use that money to seduce another man's wife. That's nothing more than a rich man's power trip.

Sarah and Robert got more than forgiveness in this story they got an inheritance from the cheated on husband. This story sounds like it was written by a woman. It was okay when he gave his daughter and cheating ex wife a job, but paying off the AP’s IRS debt just to be nice to the man that destroyed his life and stole his entire family? Naw dude in your quest to make protagonist a good person you forgot to give him dignity!

I hate that tired old excuse of "we couldn't help it, we just fell in love". That's the biggest lie they tell themselves. You have to spend time together. Steal time from your partner. Open yourself up to the idea of a relationship beyond platonic. Then, take steps to move the relationship in that direction. We just fell in love is bullshit. It just doesn't happen that way.

I know folks are mad he didn't scorch the earth with his ex and his daughter, but he won in the end and threw them a bone. Frankly, I see it as a boss move. And James is not a simp. He simply healed from the trauma they caused him and turned out to be a bigger person than all of them combined. I will say that Amanda did some overreaching here and needs to learn to discuss things with her husband first. But I ain't mad with her. Next.

"Hes a nice man, he doesn't yell like you do" ... He never yelled or did anything until all the backstabbing betrayed guy. He didn't really yell at the kid, he was sarcastic. He certainly yelled at his ex during her uh 'nice discussion' about 'falling in love' with a nice rich guy and how it all went down and how he got custody screwed. The fall out between the daughter and his fall out is a direct* result of the wives actions and her daughters 'thoughts' on it. She (daughter) never properly apologizes until shes 17 basically. Even then its not great. She comes across as is stated condescending. She didn't even know* she was talking down. She loved her father, but didn't seem to really understand until she lost all that lovely glitz. (Even if she says it doesn't matter - so it was just icing on her cake) Not sure why the AP was forgiven or the ex. I see no reason for it. The daughter sure the else wise? no. Not only no but hell no. Sorry I can easily see moving past a grudge. I can see eventually working things out with his daughter. But the rest no. Even the #2nd Wives actions wouldn't have been taken well by a man with that kind of past either. She just.. did it without his real consent. She gave them a fuck ton of money again noting no consent. This is fantasy and even in most fantasy that would have involved a long..discussion.

Hi. From the comments, it's pretty obvious that the general consensus is that the ending sucked. I, however, found it to be a good ending. As they say, living well is the best revenge, which our protagonist achieved. Plus, although he didn't forget, he did more or less forgive, which showed true strength of character. All in all, I think this was a 👍👍 story.

This story is wild. So its been 9 years in total and Laura rhe greatest daighter in the world (sike) hasnt saved any money, went to college, nor had an ol job? And then the MC comes along and save them all ... Yeah this is a massive joke of an ending. Im all for people learning their lesson, but really Laura told her dad "Robert doesnt yell at us like you do" that means she still thought that he was wrong for being upset they left him
