This story was red flag city. Woman with abusive husband (trauma bonded codependency). Divorced while husband was out of town. Hadn't seen him in however long (unresolved issues). Children (Always a way in for an abuser).

The lack of consideration this boy gets from all the people around him is unbearable. He behaved well, he helped this woman in her time of need by also taking care of her children, he suffered an insult when she returned from her ex and now they involve him in a difficult situation by trying to make him feel guilty . He will always be considered a spare tire, a life preserver to hold on to in times of need and certainly not because this woman loves him. I remember when I was young and in love and I suffered similar treatment from a girl who considered me a kind of safe haven but who always disrespected me, hanging out with other guys while she was with me. In the end I left her and blamed her behavior on him. To my satisfaction she later regretted it

Ok LLC, you put out a lot of content. And most of it is pretty spectacular. So, I expect to get an occasional simp story. But this 3-hour ode to making the victim the villain and creating phony, lame excuses for the very bad behavior of this woman (who was treated like royalty) with a husband and two kids! is too much! Can the simp stories at least be much shorter?!

I doubt she has learned her lesson. I have seen it with my own eyes! They will bask in relief for a while but because of their own inner turmoil and self loathing cheat on him.

There is no problem with a redemption story for someone who strayed and fucked up, if done correctly. but in this case, and many others akin to this one the constant disregarding of the feelings of hurt made by said mistakes drags the story down. Throughout the story it's barely addressed the pain that Darla inflicted upon the MC by cheating on him and then leaving him for a literal piece of shit, when he did nothing but treat her with love and care. The explanation given by her as to the whys may be coherent and legitimate, as unfortunately it's not that uncommon for abused woman to return to their abusers, even so, that does not invalidate or mitigate in any way the pain inflicted on MC, and that is not correctly brought upon with her even once during their reconnection. There is no real path to healing if you can't face the pain inflicted, whatever the reasons. And going along that thread of thought, the colleagues and friends of the MC show very little consideration for his feelings and demand of him to discard this and jump to his feet for the source of his pain, without even acknowledging his legitimate suffering and try to be understanding of it, they even told him to "man up", which is plain distasteful, because being a man has nothing to do with casting yourself aside to rescue others. Also, the "nice guy" comments just felt cringy, and he did in fact finish last, she literally toss him aside for his abuser, cheated on him and left him to be with him. You can redeem yourself from that, but for starters you have to call things as they are, and that's what she did.

Listening again to this story i realized something. First he gave the STBX the gaming system instead of actually giving it to the kids himself. Of course the lowlife turned it around and said "look what daddy got you" Then immediately following that, he gave the cheater a fricken vehicle free and clear. He should have offered to give Randy a "good ending" to finish off his bending over. She lied, she had him over at your house, she had sex with him then left to go live with him. For the cheating and sneaking behind your back you rewarded her, seriously.

All that conversation in the helicopter, full of technical terms that only a helicopter pilot can understand... all those details about wound care, that only a doctor can understand... let's get to the point instead of getting lost in idle chatter. Three hours of history. It's a shame, however, that after just over two and a half hours the RU-vid translator no longer translates, the subtitles disappear and you can no longer follow the story... and thank you all so much! Unless the person listening is not a native English speaker... then there will be no problems!!!!!

Contrary to what seems to be the general consensus that Dalton should have washed his hands of Darla, I'm glad he gave her a second chance. Call them what you will, but some people are capable of giving second chances, which sometimes work out, but other times go terribly wrong. Fortunately, in this instance, the stars aligned and things did indeed work out 👍👍
