The best and cheapest way around a marriage threatening question like this is to ask exactly when it will take place and even if it's an innocent family gathering in another town, the spouse who is about to be betrayed phones an ex lover and asks of a date at that exact time and make sure he/she has a fantastic weekend and blocks all credit cards and bank accounts.

There’s no way this could be possible with me while not being allowed ANY questions. The human brain does not accept mysteries willingly. A question like ‘why does this need to be a secret from me’ or ‘would I approve if I knew what you were planning to do’…there’s many questions that don’t require you to tell me explicitly but that would need to be answered.
