i made these for my mom on mother’s day last year (because it was also during ramadan) and she loved them so much. thank you for sharing this recipe ❤️
Wonderful recipe, brought back fond memories of my favorite Moroccan cookie. Can’t wait to make them! I’m thinking Christmas gifts... Shukran! p.s. you’re grandmother is a treasure!
Merci for sharing this recipe! I am planning to make some chebakia next Ramadhan, although it will be a little homework to find some fleur d'orange in where I live. Wish me luck! :)
it's normal they get a little bit harder. you can try to warm them up in the microwave for a few seconds before serving - that would soften them a bit.
Hi! Thank you for sharing, haven’t had these since my mémé made them once upon a time. Where can we find the mold? I’ve looked online and they sent out of stock everywhere

some of my recipes are translated in french (see my lists on youtube). also I posted a "alia's tip: how to translate my recipes in french" video that could help a bit.
Asalam o aliqum Alia! Plz try to write a subtitle in English for all your recipes in ur videos....That will make it more easier to understand. ☺Doing a Great Job !A Well wisher from (Pakistan)👍
Your video is very easy to follow. I just learned how to make Chebakia from a friend. Can this recipe be made gluten-free and if so what type of flour would be appropriate to replace the regular flour? I cannot find any gluten-free Chebakia recipes online. My sister cannot eat gluten and I would like to make it for her.
Hi Alia. This is truly the best chebekia recipe ever and fairly easy. Thanks to you and your grandmother. I wonder if you could make a video on how to make the yummy mini cakes found in Moroccan Patisseries?
Thanks a lot! but those ratios, for how much Shebakia? let's say I wanna make 1Kg of Shebakia, how much do I need? this would be helpful..Thanks again. Hal
Hello Alia, Thank you for the recipe! I was wondering if there something one can do to keep chabbakia soft (afterwards). The one I've made tends to get a bit hard after a few days!!! I've stored it in an air-tight plastic container for consumption during Ramadan. Thanks!
Salam, Would it be possible to post the ingredients somewhere please? Also is there a place in Northern Virginia that I could buy from? I tried it a couple of times(actually ate the whole Kilo) and am in love with it. Thank you
Why 3 different recipes? One is made with just sesame seeds roasted and ground. While the other is made with toasted sesame seeds ground and blanched almonds ground. What is the difference and why? Thank you
hello alia First, your site are beautiful I love! parcontre I have a concern, could you translate all your recipes in French because my English are very bad thank you and good luck
What is the orange blossom water? Never heard about it:((( i tried with google translate and makes no sense in my native language... help me a bit pleaseee
in morocco, we take the flowers of an orange tree and extract the flavor in distilled water, and that makes it orange blossom water a bit like rose water
+cookingwithalia thank you so much!!! What can i replace this water with?? We do not have orange trees in my country... impossible for me to do that! I wish to you an amazing day, thank you for your answer!
Anise can be found in the supermarkets where the spices are. I havent seen ground Anise in America, but you can probably grind it. I have a small coffee grinder I use to grind all my spice seeds so I am thinking that should work. I seen some online to. Hope that helps
Good afternoon, I have not made these for about 6/7 years, and this recipe is the one I used, however I now eat gluten free, and have done for nearly 5 years, So as I love this recipe I am going to give it a try with gluten free flour, and see what it turns out like, I do not have any Saffron left, so shall need to purchase, apart from this I have all other ingredients,,(no gel) but I never had when I first made this recipe so not worried. This is an amazing recipe and I would love to think Alia is still making great recipes
