This is the first older video of yours I've seen. It's like you became a different person with the jungle hat and almost creepily cheerful demeanor. You even speak differently. Very interesting.
Thanks. Very helpful. It'd be great if there was a list showing fluids, filters, etc. for the Hijet trucks. 10W30 oil? I have a 1996 Hijet, S110P, and I think it uses a similar but different oil filter than the S83P, with metric instead of SAE threads.
@@minitrucks - There was so much confusion on the Mini Truck Talk forum about Hijet oil filters that I was unsure which of the two oil filters I needed for my 1996 Hijet. It wasn't until I saw an oil change video (KEI TRUCK OIL CHANGE! How to test an alternator. Daihatsu Hijet!) on RU-vid that showed the actual Fram PH4967 oil filter being used on a 1995 Hijet. That crosses to: NAPA Gold 1394 (preferable) NAPA 1394 Fram XG4967 (Ultra Synthetic - preferable) AC-Delco PF1219 Wix 51395 I still need to replace the air filter on my Hijet but it's cold outside where I live. I'll probably get a washable oiled foam air filter from K&N if I can get a compatible part number.
@@Liberty4Ever Do NOT use a K&N. They do NOT filter fine particles, which will kill these little engines. You will not get any better performance (power) using a high flow filter, but you WILL ruin your engine by not filtering the fine particles out. Stick with a quality paper filter & change as needed. K&N were designed and intended for racing; ie HIGH flow and only keep the big stuff out because a racing engine does not need to last long.
@@waynelevitz6672 - It's my impression that a properly oiled K&N filter will filter at least as well as a paper filter with less airflow restriction. Certainly a foam filter without the oil will allow more dust to pass through than a paper filter. Foam filters require maintenance. I clean and re-oil them annually but I don't drive much. I replaced the Hijet air filter with a new paper filter that I bought from G&R Imports. It's a bit pricey but it is an imported part. If I import another major part from Japan, I'll order a few air filters that'll be a lifetime supply given that I'm already paying for shipping.
Aloha! Great video. If you have the time, would you please help me out with what type of air and oil filters you use? Size, brand, and where you purchase from. Thank you in advance. Oh…and also, what type of oil (10w-40? And coolant type. etc) Mahalo from Hawaii.
