@TheRealAndyMcKee you've always been the most talented guitar player I've ever met, I was just a kid then, you've came along way from giving lessons at steam may you stay blessed 🙌
I understand your frustration, Bill. This first album is a collection of tunes from each player with the other 2 accompanying (with one new composition and one cover of Ursa Major from Michael Hedges). These were born out of our encore sets whenever we would have shows together and we wanted to capture those new versions for people to hear. We do have some new material being developed for the next release as well, though. I did release a couple of EPs over the last couple of years, but one was a collection of tunes that inspired me and one was an unusual synth-based album. In any case, if either of those weren’t quite up your alley, I am also working on new acoustic and electric guitar material. I hope you’ll enjoy these new takes on the older tunes none the less. I feel like they have practically evolved into new pieces!Take care
Andy, I visited the website and was looking for ways to purchase the album as MP3s or some kind of digital as we just don't have any CD player in the house anymore. Is it possible?
Very excited about this album, I've followed Andy faithfully since the early days and this group sounds amazing, pre-ordered without even thinking about it! Only thing better than 1 master on the stage is 3 on the stage ;) One thing I didn't see on the site was a release date, is that nailed down yet? Looking forward to that day!
@therealandymckee hey Andy, I just wanted to let you know I've been listening to your music since you first released Drifting 13 years ago and I can't tell you how much I love your music. I grew up with my dad playing acoustic guitar almost every night in his room before he went to bed, so I had the pleasure of falling asleep to the rhythmic humming of his playing. So when I moved out on my own, I sorely missed that beautiful sound at night. The first time I heard you I was hooked, I showed Drifting to my dad and he was dumbfounded, in awe of your skill. You music has become my go-to music for relaxing, studying, long car rides, or just when I need a moment to sit with those memories of my dad. So thank you, your music has been so inspiring to me for the past 13 years, and this new project looks to be just as incredible as the rest, and I'm greatly looking forward to it. I hope I have the pleasure of seeing you three live, I'll be keeping an eye on the tour through the southwest US. Best of luck to all of you, and thank you for making the best music on earth.
Jason, I am honored that my music could be a part of your relationship with your father. It’s important to me to try and create something meaningful and your words help remind me of the correct path with music. I thank you, too, Jason.
I saw Trevor and Andy at Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland in late 2021. With the addition of Calum, this should be epic. My preorder is in, really looking forward to this.
