Thanks for sharing. You succeed to complete one France 98 set ! Congrats ! During the last weeks i bought many lots on the net ; often the lots are a little "rubbish" but in every lot i found some nice items to complete my "starting" collection and i take pleasure...(smile) in fixing the Subbuteo stuff with super glue and scale model ciment. Super Glue must to be the best "tool" for a Subbuteo collector...smile. Happy Collecting.

The corner kicker should slot together, slide the front tab into the gap first, then connect the back. I've had a few of these, all have had the same problem.

Nice video - I just came across this one after looking at TFMs FB post about the corner-kicker from this set - I wanted to see what the throw-in figures looked like and that led me to this episode. Both look really good - I'm surprised that they were not available outside of this one set. Well done for managing to get a complete set together - with that, the refunds and the spares I think you were quids in at the end.. Some eBay sellers are not dodgy they just genuinely don't really understand what they are selling and the importance of the condition of items. I tend to ask for more pictures if I'm not sure about anything but sometimes you just have to take a chance like you did - really happy it worked out for you, that is a really nice set. On the subject of 'vintage' the generally accepted term is that it has to be over 20 years old as opposed to 100 years for antique. Seems a bit recent to me but there you go.

Shame as majority are genuine.👍 The throw in taker and corner taker look a improvement on the old style I used to use.

Well done on finally getting a complete set mate.. was a good edition with the England, Brazil & Italy kits from that ere.. think I also have the France, Denmark & Germany kits released for the 98 tournament although the France kit looked nothing like the real kit. Keep up the good work fella :)

Nice video. The trouble is the sellers should be put the item in a separate box when they ship it to protect your item

in the past weeks, i made many purchases on the net ; and sometime it 's drive me crazy when i receive a careless send ! for exemple i ordered a beauty Subbuteo special collection edition set (with Italy and Brazil teams + a vintage style ball) and the seller only sent the set in a plastic bag envelopp ! He did not send the set in a cardboard box ! Of course the box of the set was a little damaged , that driven me a little bit crazy...lol

You should name and shame these people who rip people off they will just keep on doing it glad you got a set plus spare parts not bad for around £20

So the pitch in this edition is not good? I'm about to choose between this 'France 1998' Set in used but good condition or the new 'England Main Game' or the new 'UEFA Champions League Game'. Which one would you reccomend?
