I had a version of that last one, but in purple. It was meant for my mom, but honestly as I grew up, the smaller nunchuck felt a ton more comfortable in my hands and even the controller itself made games where I held the controller sideways better.
The last one is actually was actually really nice when I was younger because it was easier to hold and you could change the button colors on the ones my family had.
man just seeing afterglow products gives me nostalgia. they arent rage in the slightest though i threw my blue afterglow ps3 controller and it literally exploded
I got one from Wish back when I had my Wii U. Its rumble sounded like a goose, so instead of calling it a controller, we called it the goose. (It also tended to disconnect randomly)
I actually remember there was a third-party Wii Remote called 'Rapid Response', and seemed to have a sculpted grip on it. Also, the 'motion sensor inside' likely meant it had a Wii MotionPlus clone integrated, sort of like the official Wii Remote Plus.
My cousins actually had that little tiny red wiimote- it was always my wiimote of choice when I went to their house. I loved it and I still do; I’m glad to see it here in the showcase
The red one on the end is a third party remote, they are similar to the shells used yo make the skylanders giants themed wii remotes as part of the pro pack mini
At that purple one and I have to say the larger d-pad and bigger one and two buttons makes it funnier for wii remote sideways games. It even fit inside those handles you could buy so you can hold it like a normal controller definite thumbs up.
Oh shit, I had the blue clear wii remote. I really liked where the buttons were placed and I liked the fact that it was clear since it just looks cool when you turn it on and the lights inside turn on.
I remember having a Wii remote that was also a classic controller it had a switch on the back and he could switch between Wii remote mode or classic controller mode
I have one that looks almost exactly like the last one (dark purple instead of red, but i dont think its the same brand as the one in the video) and not only is it the tiniest remote I've seen for a gaming console but it never works. On the bright side it came with a matching nunchuck, and they both look pretty
“Alright starting off with the first one looks like a standard wiimote” cause it is “look at this purple monstrosity look at the size of this protective case around it” yeah that’s how they normally are I feel personally attacked
We had white versions of the nyko. They were literally just plain wii remotes but they had the plus feature or whatever. You could take that case off just like you can on a normal wii remote.
I have a red rock candy wiimote and I actually like it better than the official one cause the power and home button are both up top so its easier to keep track of and not accidentally push
Anyone who has had a Wii can all testify that the protective cover was not for the remote, it was for whatever you accidentally threw the controller at. Mainly the TV or what was behind you.
i got the second one shown but in black, it costed like 40 dollars instead of 60 for normal wiimote at the time so it was nice like that. cooler design too but didn't hold up in the long run as well as official sadly
I had the Nyko one and the small red one only it was purple. My friend used to have a blue rock candy one. It makes me reminisce about my old rock candy 360 controller
Man I miss that design with the square A button. When I was 5 my 9 year old brother told me that was the Wii mote 2 and o of course believed it wanted one so bad
I had a version of the Nyko wand. It wasn't terrible from what I remember. Weird textured B button. But it worked, and it was different from the standard wiimote.
