While doing some research into model train display in my local area I found an amazing HO scale model train display hosted by the Railroad Heritage Center in Palestine Texas. This incredible work of art was constructed over the course of 35 years by the late Paul A. Domis of Dallas.
In addition to the incredible Ho Scale Model train display the Railroad Heritage center features other railroad collections that have been donated by many local area family's. Conductor uniforms, hand build wood models of whole trains, and other unique railroad artifacts are just a few of the things on display at the Palestine Texas Railroad museum.
The Railroad Heritage Center in Palestine Texas is operated by The Texas State Railroad Society, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. They can be found on Facebook @ / texasstaterailroadsociety

I loved playing with trains as a kid, although I didn't do any of the models, just action figured decorated the line.

Years ago I was at the Mid State Fair in Paso Robles, CA where there was a display similar to this. It had EVERYTHING! Cities, railyards, CTC, block signals, crossing gates, you name it. There were numerous trains running thru the realistic countryside along with several guys controlling blocks. I was impressed at the work done to create this.

I am blow away by how much detail people are creating in these model train layouts! Thanks for watching!

That is a very impressive layout. I have seen larger layouts that is like a double decker where trains go up in mountains. The Model Railroad magazine used to show all kinds of layouts and some with plans so you could build your own.

They have really expanded that museum since I visited there a few years ago. A lot of nice new displays. The back story of how they cut up and moved these layouts is also fascinating; one that was in a garage apartment had to cut up and moved out through a window using a forklift. I can feel their pain in trying to rewire everything. The layouts in Jefferson and at the Museum of the American Railroad in Frisco have stories similar to this one. I am partial to my tiny layout at my home. :) But rather than have a favorite layout, I find that every layout has a detail or an area that I really like, or that stands out and makes me wish I could duplicate it. On this layout, it is the cathedral, the Deep Elum street scene, and the power plant with the neon sign on top. Keep up the great work. You do some great camera views, you gave me some ideas for camera views watching your video of our museum layout.

WOW that's pretty cool! Give me a clue when you want to come back to Mineral Wells, I got a few ideas I think you'll like. I know a few very knowledgeable historians, I might could get involved... One of them has a pretty busy schedule... so it'll take some pre-planning.
