The alignment picture at 1:48 and "the timing on that machine is perfect" a few seconds later is what I needed to align my Janome HD 3000. (Didn't know what a hook was an hour ago!) Thanks for taking such a clean shot of it.
Abi THANK YOU. yours is the first video that suggests early on actually threading the machine to see if it picks up the thread.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽. This machine belonged to my mom who passed away and hasn’t been used for years. Using RU-vid videos I’ve managed to change out two broken gears but got stuck on the timing issue. You dear lady have solved it for me. Thanks a million👏🏾👏🏾❤️❤️
Thank you for showing such a great visual of where the hook should be. I have my service manual that tells me in millimeters with a picture, but sometimes video is just... Better! Thanks!
Hi Abi that was an interesting video. However, it would be good for you to show the timing with this top loader bobbin with a zig zag stitch. My hook is catching the cotton, but my needle doesn't seem to be timed with the grove in the bobbin case and is scraping on the bottom during the left side zig zag. So not sure if it's a timing issue still or a needle height.
having similar problem where i seem to have the right hook timing but now my zig zag stitch is looking more like a straight stitch... zigging but not zagging, lol.
Thank you for showing me what I need to be looking for. I have my second hand Magicfly 59 stich sewing machine in pieces right now because the hook is not catching the bobbin thread. This doesn't help me because it doesn't show what I need to adjust. The only thing I can find is a very sketchy video and nothing on where I need to go in and fix the timing. Sigh. But I will keep working on it myself because I do not have $100.00 to spare to get it fixed. Thank you .
Hi Abi, I have checked the timing on my Janome 9700 and it is good. I am having trouble with the thread getting caught between the bobbin case and the hook mechanism. I would send an image if I could. Would you be able to help me remotely? I am at least 11/2 hours away from a dealer.
Hi, wonder if you could help me as first time I came around to find a problem I can't fix. Brother ls14- the bobbin case jumps up when the chatcher spins. Aligned marks, and surley putted case correctly, also tried with other brother bobbin case, as found it might be problem with that, but not any different. I have not screwed any parts which could affect this. Removed plate and bobbin case for cleaning and this has occured. It drives me crazy, as me, owner of 6 machines which I'm fixing myself, can't deal with simple brother. Any tips what could be an issue in here? Thank you for your videos which helped me so far
The problem with the ls14 is a poorly built machine. Certain parts fail because the plastic bend out of shape and once that happens - the machine is thrown away. It’s not repairable. However - just check the timing. See if you can repair that. It is tricky but possible. Just a bad machine 🫣😵💫
Hi I have a Brother machine that's less than 5 years old. The Rotary Hook wheel turns, it can't meet the Needle BECAUSE it turns the Hook to Opposite side. Can you offer some advice. Thank you!!
I don’t think I know any mechanic who can offer help with brother machines. They are just so low quality and fail so much even if you fix it, it won’t be long before it’s broken again
Hi Nicole. Will this help? Skipped Stitches - How to Fix the Timing on a sewing machine ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h0JuLnvk6z4.html
