Their genes would have been taken out of the human gene pool in older times but because of the life guards they were able to procreate. Now think about all the other life saving measures that exist in modern civilization and how it messes with evolution. It's likely to be at least part of the reason why mean IQ is dropping in many developed countries.
I think this is the first time this has ever happened. Normal folk don't need to be told not to be stupid and only a fool would tell an idiot not to be stupid.
Lifeguards are fabulous but what an absolutely stupid thing to do ....what idiotic photographer decided that position. You NEVER turn your back on the ocean...even on the calmest day. I'm from an Island and rogue waves happen at the most unexpected time. How she didn't drown in that dress is beyond me. One lifeguard is a woman by the looks...
Pure and unadulterated stupidity, completely unfiltered. I'm sure they were thinking..."This will be so cool! Us standing together on the rocks beside a stormy sea, looking seaward and facing life together". And like a lot of other things in their lives, they were entirely wrong. Wonder if they're still married?
@@chesterwilberforce9832 Absolutely. Many peeps today have lived in familial and social cocoons and their realities, shaped by those lifestyles, don't seem to understand that the dangers of the real world apply to them maybe even more so than they do to folks who were raised otherwise. I'm glad that these two were rescued and I hope they are well.
It's almost impossible to appreciate how much her dress was holding her head level -- exactly like a sea anchor -- so that every surface wave submerged her head.
Damn dude you been married two hours and there ya are floating on the safety tube while your wife goes under 30’ behind you. I know panic is panic but it shouldn’t be panic when your wife is needing you.
On the contrary, they will teach their children about this experience to be more careful. However, people who didn't experience this might not teach their children the dangers of standing near a huge wave.
