I've recently read that it's not recommended to mount in that position as the cell packs are putting pressure on each other. Pylontech recommends that they are stacked horizontally with a space between each module.
Hi. I don't think it was related to positioning. I recently got another client who had the same swelling issue on one that was around 3 years as well, and the batteries were stacked horizontally, with the available Pylontech brackets.
I have 3 x US2000 pylontechs. Running semi off grid for 4years and no problems. My charge voltage is 53.2v, my max draw on battery is 3kw… I’m also running Coms between battery and inverter to regulate the charge amps from the BMS. My one battery is at 90% SOH according to bms, its because that one battery was used a few times as a test battery and went completely flat about 20 times where I had to start it with another battery. My others are at 98/99% SOH with around 400cycles. Very happy with pylontech and bought them when they were R8000 per battery. 😊😊
What model of Pylontech Batteries failed you? I'm getting a bit worried because I was starting to stockpile some UP5000's before I take the system live.
