Oof I remember when the idea of asymmetric design was new and I was like no! Never! No asymmetry! But like now I’m completely fine with it and like asymmetry a bit. Still never felt a crush stock before but that’s for another time
quite annoying that all the decks which are favorited and produced by cardists become super expensive, f.i. besides the checkerboard deck the stripes, cardistry con, hype, fontaine, saturn, hand painted and many more
Of course, this deck is going to be more expensive when it's made from the US, shipped to Denmark (with the Danish high 25% VAT charges and $30+ customer shipping for tracking with insurance) shipping for 1 deck) and then reshipped to customers all over the world, most likely 40-60% of the orders are from the US, so they're probably shipping most of it back there. The REAL price of a deck of cards is $2,43, (I spoke with the USPCC) it can even be cheaper if you print 5000 decks. I lived in Denmark for 7 years and I don't think they insured their orders/shipping because that would have cost $39 for shipping for up to 2 decks, which is a pain in the ass. Playing cards like these are cheap, it's the cardists that usually put the price 10 times more and you can't disagree or argue with that fact. Now, I'm NOT saying this deck should be $6 or $8 because distributing them from Denmark is almost near impossible to have it at that price. 2809 decks were produced, which is $6825 and USPCC charges a shipping to Denmark of around $500, at least! Let's say the shipping was $650. In Denmark, you have to pay 25% VAT of the $6825, so the total price becomes $8531 + $650 shipping, which is $9181 in total, that values each deck at $3,6. The insured and tracked shipping in Denmark to outside Denmark is extremely expensive, maybe they charged $18 per deck and made the shipping cheaper?
What do you mean by "supply and demand"? They limited their orders to 2809 decks in total, so that isn't an issue or anything to worry about. Because people are re-selling it, is that why you think they raise their price 8-10 times higher? They can do whatever they like, really, it's just so ridiculous when you print something for $2-3 and you resell it for $18 or $25.
hey jaspas..i actually from malaysia and i wanna ask if i wanna buy your deck..do i got the shipping as well or not? because your new deck were awesome ..i cant wait to feel it on my hand
Hey Jaspas, I've been a fan of yours for a while and I really love and admire your content, your skill and you as a person, you've been very influential to me and when I kept on giving up on cardistry, you came and give me the boost and smiles. I love you, I hope I can win the cards :)💓 P.s. Love your deck art lol
The Cardistry of Jaspas Deck for a while I didn't have internet connection at home. For like 3 weeks I missed so many uploads. So I'm just catching up with the vlogs. I actually already watched this a couple of times but I just didn't comment until I remembered the "baby" part haha
So ... let's recap this. You didn't want to support because you didn't want to be looked from above. Sure I get it, not a prob. Then someone from the teams says he's a fan, and instantly you become a supporter of the brand ? man, this cardistry industry is nothing about quality, or brand management, it's all about "having the right friends" and "getting admired". "oh u like me ? let me support you, even tho right before hearing that it was a great "meh" from me" ... what in the hell ? I thought u had integrity and were objective Also people in cardistry tend to always say a deck is great as long as the dude behind is famous. Even tho the quality is truly shit. I still trust ur reviews tho, but speaking in general. This community is the most biased I've ever known. If your product is magnificent but your cardistry skills arent as good as the greatest : nobody bats an eye. If your product is pure bullshit but your cardistry skills are over the top : man whatever you do will be praised like the lord. This is so ridiculously immature and miserable, lot of people are starting looking at this community like of a bunch of biased kids who doesnt seem to notice the world surrounding them. It's a world of ignorant stupid fanboys ... jesus.
Alright man, get off your high horse. Your sitting there judging the cardistry world for following hype when that is literally how the whole world works. Shoes and clothing, celebrities, everything works like this so don't single out cardists for something that happens world wide. Your also saying that there is nothing about quality and its all about having being admired but I completely disagree, all of these decks that are made by these top cardists are great quality cards, they just don't brag about that because its a given. You make out these cardist to be super pretentious and fame hungry but most of the top cardists as very humble and never seem to exclude people because cardistry is an excepting community. You say that decks that are "great" but made by people who are bad at cardistry, get overlooked, however, have you ever thought that cardistry is based on looks, seeing as its a performance art in which you do cool things with cards, so maybe the decks don't look the best or are not what cardists are looking for, whereas the top cardists who make decks are experienced and know what looks good while doing cardistry. Don't dis a whole community just because you're ignorant and don't understand it
"Your sitting there judging the cardistry world for following hype when that is literally how the whole world works." I love when people go against me, but straight up follow my point. Simply because you don't get it, doesn't mean I don't get it. It's exactly how the world went til now, and how people are trying so badly to fix how it goes. And nobody can because it's unchangeable today. Cardistry's a new community, with everything in hands to avoid becoming biased and corrupted, and they still go this way, just because some people earn power from their fame. Dude. It's not "being on high horse", it's being realistic. Not my fault if you're influenceable and have shit in your eyes. Cheers. Also, I didn't say "bad paper quality", I mean "absolutely insulting in terms of design". If you don't know nothing in art or in design, that's your problem. That's my industry tho, and cardistry famous dudes hiding their lack of design skills behind fake "minimalism", in a way that clearly demonstrate they don't understand minimalism or pop art, is truly ridiculous. Again, not my fault you get caught by it because you're highly influenceable and know nothign about it. It's cleary, absolutely, totally insulting toward real, true designers pushing meanings and art further everyday. In cardistry it's like they step backward in design everyday. Not talking about real artists working for card design, I'm focusing my words on famous cardists doing shit, just because they can and people like you will buy it since you're ... a fanboy
The reason why they still want to buy shitty decks (I'm not saying Anyone makes shitty decks) from well known cardists is because they idolize them. By buying their cards, they'll think "I'm now closer to the cardistry community". It's not just in the cardistry community. Look at fashion, electronic gadgets, or sports. Why would Nike pay millions of dollars for an athlete to sponsor Nike? Brand image. It makes consumers think "I must buy it". If Nike were to sponsor a random guy on the street, it won't show the "value" or the "quality" of Nike.
why WAS Noel a fan of your work? Is he no more a fan. Yeah I get that he developed his own style but I did to and I am still a fan of you. Can't you be a fan if you have your own style?
+DerEli of course you can. I just don't want to speak on his behalf and have to consider his position as a professional Cardist. If that makes any sense.
