Thanks ! And I'm just a bit over 187000km (117000miles) , Im the second owner , when I got it it had about 13000km on it, I've had it for around 12 years now I think and still love it and travel with it. Thanks for watching 👍
Thanks! For sure, the biggest one is whether to screw the dipstick in or not , the manual says not to screw it in when checking the level. Thanks for watching 👍
Thank you so much for the tips on the right way to check the oil on our Road Stars:) Do you have a video on how to change the clutch on a Road Star? Mine is starting to slip and I plan on using a Barnett Clutch to replace the stock diaphram. What type do you have in your bike? Thanks for your help and keep up the great work.
No problem, thanks for watching! And I do not yet, I would like to open it up and check mine this winter, but may end up being next winter been pretty busy on my end with family, projects, and work . I have the stock OEM clutch in my bike. Around 85000km I had put a new one in (before I started making videos) ( it seemed very soft and seemed to be slipping abit under hard acceleration from a dead stop, so I ordered a new one before I got into it, assumed the plates where wore out but they looked new still, I had put the new clutch in and when I torqued it I gave it just abit extra so it was abit more aggressive. I'm at 187000km now and it seems like the clutch is starting to get abit lighter from where it was 100000km ago , if I have time I want to inspect it and Maybe put a new spring plate in , if I do it's basically the same process as replacing the clutch ( I would be pulling the clutch plates out and inspecting them to. Top of my list for stuff I want to get into on the bike is checking the valves , meant to do it last winter but I'm over do on checking them so there will for sure be a video on that before summer.
