Agreed! The look on their faces when you say you want to check in, also. Are you sure? Really? Wouldn't you rather stay at the Holiday Inn down the street? And that's just the valet when you pull up in the rental car. Rolling eyes, deep sighs, YUP, been there, seen that! TOO TRUE! ❤😮❤

You're not just a great comedian, you're a great story teller too. That actually happened to me, except the person who signed me in was the one who tried to come into my room while I was on the crapper. Then they called my room and were like "who are you and what are you doing in there?" and I was like "This is the room you signed me into (ya morons)" and they were all "Oh, sorry (not sorry)" - Holiday Inn Express Putnam CT.

@elflingskitten They're both clean-dirty comedians, it's just Nate doesn't cuss ever because of his upbringing. Nate will still occasionally cover a dirty subject, he just does it cleanly. Nate uses little to no theatrics or vocal changes, whereas Jim does. They're both the things you want in a relatively clean comedy act.

I worked in hospitality for over 20 years including many years in Front Office... And I totally relate to this ! 😄But try to imagine what it's like to check dozens if not hundreds of people in every f***ing day and being asked the same stupid questions evey singlt time... ("Is it a quiet room ?", "can I get an upgrade ?", "It's our honeymoon -my arse-, do we get free champagne ?")

I'll admit that most of the time his routine is the way things are. Back when the tornados whipped through the area I left home (no power) to get closer to work. I pulled into the Hilton Garden Inn Houston West Katy around 11:30pm and I have to say the person at check-in was wonderful, cheery, and knew what he was doing. While he was checking folks in he was still aware of and acknowledged and welcomed others as we entered the area. I was very impressed with his customer service.

He is SO TRUE! Especially about getting a room in the building with the ADDRESS of the hotel!!! I stay in a place where 2 things must occur to be correct: 1, In the Sat/Nav, you MUST specify North (for the road) or you end up 30 minutes away. There are TWO roads with the same name except the magin "N" - There is NO "S" for south; 2. You have to go to address 403 to check in, but in Sat/Nav and common knowledge, the address of the hotel is listed as 410. My first trip was f u n to say the least, lol!

I remember checking into a hotel and when I opened the door, the entire ceiling had crashed on the floor. Went back up front and the desk clerk said, "oh, sorry. We've been replacing the roof." To which I replied, "I hope you didn't pay up front because clearly something's amiss." 2007, Chillicothe Ohio.
