checking out an 80s or 90s Dodge Shadow 

Had a '93 Duster. 3 liter V6 with a 5 speed. Did basic mods and threw a cheap posi into the transaxle. It was fun to drive. I beat the hell out of it for 15 years and it never let me down. Sold it to the neighbor's kid for 1 dollar. Badly rusted everywhere, but the engine and trans were fine.

Definitely front-drive. Most any vehicle with rack and pinion steering mounted at the firewall would be front-drive.
