@@HenriZwols yeah but if the people cleaning the rooms know in advance that you are going to be there a bit later they will have that information and they won't book the room and have another family waiting for your ass to get outta bed. Doesn't cost extra to stay later its just annoying when we don't know in advance

Yeah I've worked in Hotels b4 also & people don't realize how much it inconveniences & makes problems for both the staff and the Guests who are arriving that day. Lets say Check Out is at 11am, and you don't leave the room till 12:30 or 1pm. Well Check In is at 3PM so now Housekeeping has much less time to get that room cleaned, which might mean it's not ready by the time the Guest arrives at 3PM, which means the Front Desk Staff has to deal with pissed people who are wondering why their room isn't ready yet. You see how disregarding check out time can have a negative ripple effect? Just ask for a late check out the night you check in if you need it! Sometimes it can't happen but still it helps.

At our hotel we just charge them for an extra nights stay so housekeeping doesn't have to stay late and we profit 🤷‍♂️

Its a case by case thing. Some areas its still better to choose Airbnb, some areas the hotels are better in every way.

It’s so hit or miss. I’ve personally never had a bad experience but I know a ton of people who have.

Damn man, I haven’t used it in years but it used to be the shit. I hate hearing how awful it is now. Used to be able to get nice places for like $40 a night, no cleaning up and no fees. All independent owners, no corporate. My wife and I stayed in a castle one time for our anniversary at $60 a night straight up. That place was amazing. But this was back in 2017. We used it often around that time and never had a bad experience.

Y'all don't have any kind of cleaning fee? I've worked in 3 different hotels over 4+ years and every one of them required a Credit/Debit Card authorization & had policies the guest had to sign which included a fee for cleaning. One place it was a $100 fee, another $150.

@@outboardgull5285 the cleaning fee at mine is 250$😂 one of my rooms had some domestic violence go down and there was shattered glass from the lamps and the TV was thrown at the wall and there was blood everywhere and shit. Dw nobody died they just got cut up. We def charged them. And another room the guests plugged the hot tub and left it on when they left and the whole room was flooded and they also filled the trashcan with piss. Like a few days worth. Multiple. Trashcans. 😐 fucking hate people, man

I stayed in a hotel one time and somebody on the floor above had somehow broke the emergency sprinkler system in their room and sprinklers in the entire building were going off. Woke up to alarms and getting sprayed in the face. By the time we got our stuff together, there was like 2 inches of water in our room. We get downstairs and water is running out of the light fixtures. I wonder if they got charged a standard $250 fee 😂

@Daniel Garrett I'm just saying I haven't seen the worst Airbnb has to offer. Never had a list of chores to do before I go. No cleaning fees higher than the nightly stay. Easy check in and check out.
