You brought up two very important points no one else did ! 1st. If you have a 360 lighting, you always have the feeling of throwing into a tunnel or portal and that feels weird. 2nd. The solution for Winmau boards is simply to not use the upper clamp. You can use the left and right as far as I know and that is enough stability, you don’t need the upper clamp so there is no need to rotate the (newly acquired) board. Thanks a lot. I have been crushing my head for 3 days which lighting system to buy, my two finalists were the corona and the torus and with your help I went for the torus. Should hopefully arrive next week and I very happy with the decision. So thanks again for bringing up these two very important points !

I am surprised that the PDc doesn't havr them yet. Coming i would say. You can see some shadows in the PDC now days by times.

I’m the same as you, hate the tunnel feeling. I love my Mission Torus 270 and that’s not something I thought I would ever say.....loving a light rig. 👍🏻

Never thought about the awkwardness of some dart removal with these. I do love having the all round lighting but this looks like a good improvement on the idea. When my target corona gives up the ghost will definitely look at this one as an alternative.

I've got the Winmau Plasma System and got no problems with getting the darts out or the other issues you've talked about. It has the same diameter as the surround and the three wall brackets are also mounted on the outer ring of the surround. The ring is made of powder-coated solid aluminum and is 1 complete part. Exept from the Led stripe and eventually the power unit, it can last forever. And so much fun for only 68,41£ 😍🎯

I've got the corona light I'd never considered that that section was an issue. I've noticed that I've knocked it twice with my arm since the 270 came out. You can get sticky backed magnets to stick on the arms to replace the clips.

Great D.I.Y. assembly advice in general there. Fifa and a mug of tea, 'how's it going now'. I still prefer the 100w bulb in an inspection lamp, maybe someday they will equal it.

I think it's an improvement over the Corona type lights, but I prefer the One80 Illumina, the few shadows it produces are not a big deal to me, and it looks so much better.

I rotate my board every 4-5 days as I do use my board several hours a day , I’ve got a surround aswell but I honestly couldn’t be arsed rotating this light , I’ve got the winmau plasma and it’s spot on for me , I like the tunnel effect as it’s all straight to aim for what I’m aiming at , I would not have 1 of these lights simply because of the rotating situation , I had a convo with mission myself about it and they said it’s easy to do it all but I’ll stick with my winmau light

Great video. Hope you enjoyed the game of Fifa 🤣. This light looks like a great set-up. The more reviews I see, the more I think of the saying "necessity is the mother of invention". The bit out the bottom is a game changer, and I can imagine other companies will go down this road. Especially if Mission get massive sales of this light. Easy way for anyone to remember where the clips go (if they want to use them) is 20, 16, and 15.

The gap at the bottom is probably the best thing about this ring, junior and female players often find getting at the bottom of the board difficult with the fully circular lights. I'd like to see one of these systems with batteries in the legs, mount some solar cells on the inside of the legs and you have a free recharge.

Hi Matt! 😁 Can you make a video doing tutorials of how to use darts equipment and tools? For example, I don't know how or why but I always think I use my darts sharpeners wrong, I know it sounds silly but true lol. It would be great if a pro like yourself showed how you do it!! Maybe flight punchers, repointers etc as well?

Like yourself I avoided these for a long time because of the throwing into a tunnel feel... eventually gave in and got a Corona light last year, after a few weeks you don't even notice the surround just the brilliant shadowless (is that a word?) light... only a matter of time before all pub league darts adopt these I feel, once gotten use too, top notch piece of equipment!! 👍

I made my own with a bike wheel, LED strip and fixed it 10cm from the wall. Works fine for me... Took me an half an hour and cost me1/4 Of the price

DARTS HAS GROWN INTO A COMMERCIAL MARKET. THROW ANYTHING OUT THERE AND SOMEONE WILL BUY IT. THIS PRODUCT IS A NOVELTY AT BEST. THE ONLY PURPOSE IT SERVES IS FOR THE RECREATION PLAYER AND DESIGNER ARTSY TYPE DARTS PLAYER. SECONDLY IF YOU ARE NOT STANDING DIRECTLY CENTER OF THE BOARD. THE LIGHTS GLARE. THIS GOES FOR ALL OF THESE CIRCULAR MONSTROSITIES.

Of course, it is for the recreational player, the pro tournaments have better lighting coming from thousand dollar lights on stage that won't block a camera angle of a double. In dimly lit rooms these are helpful.

@@beefwallet I was referring to the adverts building it up before it was released, mission never said it was a darts light. They said it was a secret that would change darts, but it was just a light. I like mission and alot of there products are unique, so when they said it was like nothing else I got excited 😆. It might be a good product but it's not gunna change anything. It's just a light.

Try throwing with your eyes closed and see the results. Any light would help but these specialty ones are probably the best.

Didn't mean to come across negative, being a sparky myself, I can brighten up any room, was expecting something more I guess from all the mission hype.
