@@WtfOmw As an adult I would rather spend $700 to $1000 on a wbp jack, zastava m90/m70. You would have much better luck purchasing a PSA ak. Don't waste you money on a firearm that has a large likelihood of self detonating into your face. To each their own. If you like century arms AK's that's your own prerogative, just know that no one will value anything you say.
@@surferofthesynthwaves4710 Im no PSA fanboy but there AK's are leaps and bounds better than anything century arms can produce. Their warranty is second to none as well. Your are responsible for your money and safety If you want to buy a century arms ak, go for it.
For those of you whom are newer to the AK platform, century arms has a horrible reputation for a reason. All the way back to the 2000’s they sucked at even building parts kits. EVERY SINGLE variant of their American made ak’s has had massive issues including exploding. Yes even the VSKA, heck even their brand new 7.62x39 BFT had to get recalled. They cannot even make a safe rifle in the lower pressure 7.62x39. If you value your safety I would NOT buy one of these ticking time bombs.
Most of their bad reputation for AKs came from the WASR, which are made in Romania by Cugir. Most people unfamiliar with AKs didn't realize canted sights is normal from most former Com-Bloc manufacturers including Russia.
@@donwyoming1936 yeah that’s only half true, wasrs have their issues but have never been known to explode. if you read any of what I just said I’m referring to their American made lineage that is known to fail catastrophically. I build AK’s for a living and their stuff is down right dangerous to the user.
As an AK builder the parts in the BFT line are actually pretty decent forgings. Use a few of their tear downs off apex and built a few 7.62 guns. Got a few 1000 on 1 with no wear.
I just put one on layaway because it felt great in hand and the rivets were tight AF, and then check online to see over 90% of comments are negative. You say that the parts look decent? I don’t shoot a thousand rounds a year
Until retailers quit their complacency with selling customers dangerous products, Century will keep cranking out the trash. Buy a WBP or a Zastava, and live happy.
Zastava has more issues than Century ever did. Have they ever fixed their bolt carrier metallurgy problems? Yugoslavia never got the AK-47 TDP from the Soviets and had to reverse engineer the rifle. To this day, they still have issues.
@@donwyoming1936i call BS. Npaps had the issues but mine still ran great and buddy that owns it now still shoots the crap out of it. No issues from my newer zpaps either. Cant say the same about my wasr. That thing was trash
The version Rob Ski got at AKOU also doesn't have the front swing swivel mount and he was questioning whether or not he got a fluke. Century is so lucky that uninformed people mindlessly buy these at gun shops without doing any research. That's got to be the bread and butter of their US made ak sales. You can get a WBP or a Zastava for very similar prices.
Blue Force Gear offers a bunch of options for sling attachment... AK series, included. Even if you're an odd-duck like me, ( left/wrong-handed 😋😁 ) on AKs, they've got you covered. If you're feelin' extra froggy, I recommend Midwest Industries mlok forend.
i like it but i gotta say that 556 akm really sends the shells out and gashes the dust cover up i thought it was just mine that did that other than that its a sweet shooter .
Kool Aid red looks more link pink on my macbook. This is over the top on the Russian Red, isn't it? I wonder how hard it would be to un-commie the pinko wood with some stain? I would like a 556 AK, but I will wait to see how these wear over time before biting the grenade, so to speak.
I'm trying to find information on my firearm. I believe it was made by atlantic firearms/century arms. It's a polish akml with a milled receiver that has a scope mount (milled not riveted) when I bought it they stated it came with a night vision scope but since kommifornia I had to forfeit that. Anyone know If this is a reliable ak rifle?
