Well, since the video was taken a long time ago, I am not sure what kind of roof attachments, but I would have to think that it would need some crossbars that you can get at places like Academy Sports. Since I shot the video at my local Sears store, it went out of business and it is not there anymore. It's sad to see Sears go the way of Toys R Us and Circuit City, but now they are just a memory, unless they all have moved to Canada.
Had no issues with it at all, even at high speeds, 85+ mph. One thing, wish that it opened from both sides as some of Thule's other cargo boxes do. Makes it hard to attach it to the roof rack when you don't have a ladder.
Design problems: Flimsy top flexes severely when opening and closing, amking alignment of ends hang up or not line up. So bad, that even the locks and two end posts don't align or can pop out, preventing lock from working because of clips in the female sockets! If both sides pop out (like when carrying the thing), you cannot use the key to open it. Many people have broken the thin plastic top trying to pry it open in desperation. These clips keep top from closing if key is not in lock, in opened position, but can also prevent you from actuating the lock to open the top, if the posts do not align into the female sockets (where those clips are). Suggest prying out those stupid clips, and reinforcing the top by riveting in aluminum tubing or straps. Also, U-Bars insert from bottom over your roof rack bars, then into internal, adjustable distance clamps. Hard to line-up, push in from bottom, then clamp at same time. Must open one side, do two, then go to opposite side, open top again, and do those two. Owned a Yakima skybox, which does not have these issues. Merely slides onto roof, open clamps grab onto your bars, then you can push down all four internal clamps from one side! Unfortunately, had to buy one of these Thule evolutions, when top of my Yakima skybox was ripped off by hurricane-force winds north of Santa Barbara on highway 1 (need to close that dangerous hwy).
Hard to follow what you just wrote. I'll give my opinion on this thing after this coming weekend..... A lot of issues could come down to the install not being done properly.....??....
