Man, your carpentry skills and understanding of the fundamentals is excellent and then you pair it with great teaching skills, easy to understand. Thanks sir.
I have that same Klein volt meter I purchased from a pawn shop it came with no instructions, so learning to use it has been difficult . Thank you for the quick breakdown.
Thank you for explaining the difference between the settings symbols for AC and DC. Very useful! 👍 I'm going to be trying to use this to check my car battery health. Seeing if it's my battery or my alternator before I start replacing things. And subscribed. 😊
@@templebuilderscarpentry7043 can I ask you a question? I work in electricity and I went to check a outlet that is not working properly I use my tester and it’s telling me that it has a ground reverse Can you please help me cause I check all the outlets and they are pretty good
First thing popped in my head is that you have the leads attached wrong. With ac current it doesn't matter which terminal the leads contact. With DC it does. Thanks for commenting.
@@CHAUDHRY629 I got a negative reading while trying to determine why there was a parasitic draw on the battery in my truck. I hooked the meter up correctly as well.
This is AC not DC . Alternating current moves back and forth through your conductor. So it doesn't matter which lead is placed on Hot or Neutral. The meter didn't read negative. Thanks for commenting.
The name of the video is called checking voltage. Did you see someone in the video explaining how to check voltage? Plus I don't know anyone named Jack.
@@templebuilderscarpentry7043 no, the name of the video is "Checking Voltage with a Clamp Meter" a clamp meter was used and voltage was checked but you did not use the clamp to check voltage. that is misleading and you should at least change the title to what you said it was and not with a clamp meter. Every thing you did could be done with a standard multi or volt meter. no clamp meter needed. When most read that they think " I am going to see a video that demonstrates how to use the clamp function of a clamp meter to read voltage, that is not what we saw. It is useful info for someone that is a idiot when it comes to technical things and electricity. A volt meter usage for dummies would be a much better title. We all gotta start somewhere, I was a dummy in that area once too until someone like you gave a bit more info. It is just misleading to those with more knowledge.
