It seems that this (LYST protein) does NOT only regulate the phagosomes' fusion to lysosomes in case of phagocytosis ; but also regulates the exocytosis of different intracellular secretory vesicles & granules as in Tc cells & platelets , respectively . Remember the term " trafficking regulator " implies a bi-directional process : ENDOCYTOTIC as well as EXOCYTOTIC .
