Never laughed so hard watching that movie. Funny part when Chong was making lines of ajax and a lady comes in from behind and starts snorting ajax.off the plate..

I 1st seen this movie in 80 or 81 at my local drive in when I was in high school. My friends and I would go there on the weekends. Mainly to have a place to party and hangout. The owners didn't care if we partied and drank, as long as there weren't any fights. I'd honestly never heard of Cheech and Chong until this movie was showing there one night. We laughed our ass's off ! Went back and seen it the next weekend! This was their best movie in my opinion. I never thought they outdid this one.I still sit back and have a bunch of good laughs and watch "Up in Smoke' from time to time.

Thanks bro for the trip down memory lane! When I was a teenager and saw this movie, I enjoyed the van scene when he woke up with the leg cramps and he and everybody thought he was in there getting it on hahahah! Sunset and Sunset Plaza look so lonely now.

Hey Jordan, obscure factoid about this movie. The Chong character's given name is Anthony Stoner. His father played by Strother Martin (one of the greatest character actors) calls him Anthony when he's yelling at him in the movies opening scene. And he steals the front grill off his fathers Rolls and it has the personalized plate "STONER"

I've watched this movie since I was a kid too and I don't smoke pot or do drugs nor do I drink alcohol but I love this movie! I love their sense of humor! I've seen them live in Atlantic City, NJ during one of their tour a few years ago and loved it! :)

I have loved this set of lines in the movie it has always crack me up. Cleaned it up some- - Pedro: Man, what is in this sh!t, man? - Man Stoner: Mostly Maui Waui man, but it's got some Labrador in it. - Pedro: What's Labrador? - Man Stoner: It's dog sh!t. - Pedro: What? - Man Stoner: Yeah, my dog ate my stash, man. - Pedro: Yeah? - Man Stoner: I had it on the table and the little mfer ate it, man. Then I had to follow him around with a little baggie for three days, man, before I got it back. Really blew the dog's mind, ya know? - Pedro: You mean we're smokin' dog sh!t, man? - Man Stoner: Gets ya high, don't it? - Man Stoner: I think it's even better than before, you know? - Pedro: Uhhh, I wonder what Great Dane tastes like, man.

When I watched these movies as a kid in the 70/80s I got the humor because Tommy was the pothead character. Snorting Ajax was the funniest and I was not doing drugs.

I have a good friend, she's an actress, he godfather is Tommy. At first I didn't believe her and then she showed me the pictures. If you ever get to Seattle again I might be able to put you in touch with her. Her father is a bassist who knows a million people. I've seen all the pictures and met her dad. Lot's of stories.

happy 4/20 everybody .I remember when some friend of mine found ,or acquired a tape player w/ what turned out to be their 1st record album on a cassette. all we knew was, it was hilarious, we were on the floor laffing. that was around '72.......Dave's not here! I use Big Bambu's even now.

I was born in Long Beach and raised up in Huntington Beach and I raised my kids just a little inland from Laguna Beach and in 2008 I left California it was just getting too expensive and they were just making so many laws just a stupid law for everything and definitely I miss my family I miss some of the restaurants and I miss the parks and beaches but right now I’m paying $1.33 a gallon for gas here in San Antonio Texas and $715 a month for a huge apartment and you can’t even get a room for rent in Southern California for $715 a month. The homeless population is on believable in Los Angeles unbelievable I think it’s just as bad in Seattle Washington and the problem is there are jobs I think a lot of the homeless people have drug problems or they’re mentally ill or maybe they got down and out and got evicted and can’t get it together to start over I don’t know.

I hardly remember this movie, the van ended up in Mt. SHASTA. I had seen it in the 90s and been inside. I only remember Sgt sedanko scene where he was so lit and mowing the pizza .. too funny... been too long since I've seen this movie.

You may know this by now, but in the beginning of the movie when Chongs dad is lecturing him he refers to him as Anthony and the license plate on the VW is Stoner, so, Anthony Stoner. I know in the credits he's listed as The Man.
