This is the first cheer video where I paid attention to the athletes HOLDING the ones up in the air and WOW the coordination and precision is incredible!
please forgive my being a n00b, but did this really happen this way? Do squads from the same gym perform in succession like this often? What happens to the girls that are on both squads? (I don't know if there were any in this case?)
in my case as a crossover, most comps my teams have been back to back, in terms of one just finished performing while the next is backstage, therefore we skip watching our playback and sprint to go backstage and warm up with team #2
Fun/ehhh facts about cheer coming from me a cheerleader: 1. If you step off the Mat when your preforming you get disqualified 2.drop a stunt on the floor you get a lot of points gone in the drain 3. Cheer is a sport 4. Cheer is hard as hell 5. It’s hard to get to nationals. 5 likes for more facts
#5 Omg yes 😭 I started cheering at 11 years old (Pop Warner) and literally that first year we placed 4th in nationals at Disney. To this day I have no idea how it happened. Most of our team continued on together for many years, but we never even came close to nationals again after that. That was decades ago and I’m in my 30s now. I’ve moved on from cheer, but I still enjoy watching competitions. Good memories.
