I made it. It came out so good. Tips : - Don't go overboard with the potato. It cuts out the cheese flavour. - Be generous with the cheese. - Add garlic, herbs, salt, pepper and some chilli flakes to the potato. It adds flavour. 10/10 would recommend trying out this recipe.
Just from looking at it, try replacing some of the mozz with more flavorful cheeses like comte, parmegiano reggiano, swiss cheese, sharp cheddar etc. You'll lose some cheese stretch but gain flavor. Also feta works well with honey, so maybe even some crumbles of that
as a 13 yr old, i just used whatever flour could find, and it still came out amazing, my older brother kept eating half the serving and saying how good it was💀
i made this with minced garlic and italian herb blend infused into the dough. Was outstanding. Served with crushed tomato fresh italian pizza sauce thickened with parmesan.
I like the Italian take on it! I was thinking of it more as a pierogi, so I was thinking bacon and caramelized onions inside, swap mozza for cheddar, and served with sour cream. There are lots of ways you could take it! A mexican take served with salsa and guacamole... I could think of a million takes on it! Even gruyere and sundried cherries could be awesome.
I tried it out, and it was pretty good. Did it again, but replaced the mashed potato with cooked ground beef. This recipe basically makes a sealed quesadilla, so the fun is replacing the potato with whatever you like that's already cooked (since this just cooks the bread part and melts the cheese). I'm probably gonna use this recipe a lot as a base from now on.
Those such baking are really amazing. Frying pan is amazing when u know how to use it. I begun changing my food habits to more of those things, definitly trying this video❤
@@umcaraai5616 In case anyone thinks he is mentioning the KKK, he is not, it's just the way brazilians laugh in the Internet. Just clarifying before someone thinks otherwise.
@@enrico9665 yeah, like, "translate to english" automatically turns kkk into hahaha so i think it's pretty self explanatory... What i cant find an explanation for is WHY THE HELL DO THEY LAUGH WITH JUST CONSONANTS I MEAN WHO DOES THAT? (besides portuguese speakers)
That looks incredibly yummy. I love that you made a one portion video, I won't be sharing that when I make it!!! That would be a perfect side with a bowl of tomato soup.
I like how this video made people come from all over the world different languages different cultures but still there is harmony and peace from what i saw Cheese really can do miracles
I'm pretty sure you can throw in some parmesan, garlic, or caramelized onions , oregano, even spinach and make delicious variations of this same recipe. It looks cool for a night cooking with friends and drinking some beers. Love this! Thank you!
#Artica88 I think the Carmelised onions are enough to add, but be careful otherwise it won't balance as well as you'd like. It's to do with the Cheese and its interaction with the onions which contain water.
@@azothlore7838 No, as the Bacon fat might go off the minute it meets the other Ingredients. Cheese, use a different type, a hard one. One that doesn't have the same amount of fat. Science is your friend,. Add too many and you change the nature of the dish, how it cooks, how it cuts, how long it lasts,. If you eat it right away maybe.
even if you are on diet I think you should be able to eat what you want, diets that makes you feel forbidden from doing things are the less effective ones, also, cooking reduces the appetite (for your brain feels like it is eating when you are preparing the plate), eating in little portions can also be a way to keep your diet, and you can always replace the ingredients that are too fattening (like the cheese or the sauce) by something else (put vegetables and spices or less cheese etc.) anyways, as I am also on a diet I hope the best for you all :)
Currently making it. I will edit with results. Edit: dough a little sticky, but it worked. Make sure the potato is not too big. Delicious, will make it again with ham or garlic.
"No egg" *uses mayo* All jokes aside, I am making this for my dinner tonight! I hope it goes well! EDIT: put garlic, dried parsley and oregano into my potato. It was quite good! However the dough was sticky and I had to put in more flour. When I had to roll the dough, I had to put more flour on the surface that I was rolling it on. It was also super thin and it ripped in a few places when I tried to flip it over during cooking ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Other than that, it's pretty good! Delicious! 8/10. Add a bit more flour, and make multiple smaller ones, and you're all set! Perfect for any broke college students out there who want something to cook!
@@Jonz23 I am no culinary expert by any means, however I think the reason it calls for bread/strong flower is because of the slightly rougher and coarser grain of it. I have personally never used wheat flour, nor am I familiar with its consistency, all though I'm sure that as long as it is no finer or lighter than plain All-Purpose flour you should be good to go. Just remember if it gets too sticky you can hardly ever add too much flower afterwards, good luck!
10/10 recommend. Saw this today and ran out to get the cheese to make this. It’s amazing on its own (I added red chili flakes, garlic powder and a little green onion) or with the honey. Wow 🤯 🤤
Just made this tonight. Turned out absolutely fantastic! My wrapping technique was not perfect so the bottom surface didn't end up looking quite as nice as this one, but it sealed and cooked great! Next time I want to try adding bacon bits and green onion, and substituting the mayo with sour cream to lean into the "loaded baked potato" flavor!
It is extremely good for anyone wondering, especially the mix of potatoes and mayonnaise! It brings out the smoothness of mashed potatoes. I also added in some sliced pepper and spring onion for extra flavour and some pepper powder. You don’t really need to wait one hour if you don’t want to as the dough is still just as good. Delicious recipe. I’ll be making this some other time as well.
@@pinkpearlweerakoon4617 It’s most likely Japanese Mayonnaise (Kewpie Mayo) which is completely different from your traditional American store bought mayonnaise. You can more than likely find it at your local grocery store like Walmart in the Asian food isle. I cant stand Mayonnaise, one of my least fav condiments and just the smell makes me gag, but never had that issue with Japanese Mayonnaise (Kewpie Mayo). Found myself really enjoying it as both an ingredient and condiment.
fun fact for anyone who might be wondering: the addition of mayonnaise to this recipe is pretty regular! mayonnaise is a good way to adjust the texture of a dish. also, it's good at allowing certain flavors to stick to a dish without adding another, for example in spanish / mexican culture it is frequent for corn to have mayonnaise to keep chili powder on it! (feel free to fact check me on this, based on my own experience but i could still be wrong! ^_^) edit; thanks to everyone who shared their own feelings & experiences in the replies! it was super interesting to read how many people have used mayonnaise in cooking, or have even more extensive knowledge on the subject!! much love :D
@@RDS_Armwrestling I’m with you, I’m almost certain it’s a korean who’s making this, a korean dessert I got once was corn with mozzarella and charred sugar on top…it was interesting
I just made this and I must say that it's really delicious and much easier to make than it looks (and it looks fairly easy). You will however need more flour- start with suggested 90g but add more as needed. I used strong wholemeal bread flour and I felt that I needed more. Also, maple syrup is surprisingly good with this (if you have that but not honey). But it's good on its own too. Overall, I definitely recommend making this
Can you let me know abt the potato you used? I tried using a russet medium size (abt 180g), then a smaller sized one (abt 145g) and both were too much compared to what's shown in the video.
@@em5522 I used so called "Baking potatoes" and they're about 220g, but I didn't feel like it was too much, personally. You can probably try smaller varieties or only cook and mash half of a potato
I've actually made it aswell, and I must tell you that you can revisit it very easily ! Coming from 🇫🇷, I've put emmental cheese and goat cheese, minced beef with onions and paprika instead of potato, it was soo nice guys !! 🥰
I was murdered and raped in a South Korean hospital. The murder rape group at Pusan National University Hospital in Korea attempted to rape a healthy person three times without the patient's consent, with a doctor signing the surgery consent, and a neurosurgeon Ha Man-jung and an orthopedic surgeon performing general anesthesia. I was given psychiatric medication again. Also, I was forced to inject psychiatric drugs, biopsy my entire arm and feet with needles, and imprisoned for a week with my hands and feet tied for no reason. The hospital tried to commit a medical fraud and charge 10 million won for hospital expenses to drive our family to suicide. And male doctors and nurses molested me. The whole hospital sexually harassed me. Male doctors and nurses dismissed me as a sex doll. The whole hospital called me a prostitute and sexually harassed me for having sex on my own
Ty so much!! I want to make it but do u need to refrigerate the dough when it rises (his looks so hard when he’s rolling it out) and how high was the flame? I’m sorry if I don’t know exactly what I have to do it will come out either burnt or raw. Lolll
I see why this has 12+ million views in around 3 weeks. We all melted here from love at first sight and after that first crunch... 💍 Thank you 😤 so much!
I just made this and it looks just like the one made in the video. Tastes amazing, great texture. Not so low fat mind you. Will definitely make again. Great recipe and very thorough instructions!
Thank you for all the beautiful recipes that you share! I made these potato cakes today and the only other things I fid was add salt and pepper to the potatoes with 1 tbs mayo and one tbs sour cream. I also added some shredded cheddar along with the mozzarella. Delicious. The dough is beautiful and I’m sure you can stuff it with anything you like ❤
Pro tip : if you want your diet to be successful, get off of youtube, tv, social media, as much as possible. Stuff like this will be your downfall lol.
NOM NOM NOM NOM!!!!! I broke my diet after losing 50 lbs. Ive only gained 10 back and will resume. This looks worth it. It has lots of cheese which is ok. Maybe use half flax flour instead.
The RU-vid recommendation brought me here, I know it’s a cooking lesson but somehow it’s so soothing to watch your video together with the recorded sound. Very much like ASMR + eyes enjoying the food from raw to ready to serve food.
As an editor i can tell you, most of the sounds aren't natural but added after later with effects and other items to make it more ASMR like. But who is complaining.

I didn't have a single potato in my house, so I chopped up some sausage pieces and replaced the potato with those. Obviously, I missed out on the texture it was supposed to have, but it tastes incredible.
This recipe is so versatile! Love it. What I do is swap the mashed potato for chorizo or pancetta... Instead of just mozzarella, go with a bit of parmesan and comte cheese. Add herbs, add some garlic... Freaking awesome!
@@camilaklein2704 you can try, however margarine contains more water and less fat, which can affect how the dough holds. I would rather go for olive oil or Greek yougurt.
Just made it today and it tasted so gooood. The exterior was crispy and reminds me of a pita. Added garlic & honey and it was really good. I would definitely add bacon in the potato next time!!
