A terran did this to me floating buildings and just talking shit, so rather than kill him, I took every base, made enough overlords to creep every square inch of the map so he couldn't land and then just left one worker mining so a draw wouldn't happen and then just watched netflix while he talked to himself convinced he was wasting my time. He stayed for like another 50 minutes.
I love how through someone's playstyle of SC2 you can assert a decent guess at their mental state. This game is a pretty good example of that. Hobbi is an absolute psychopath
Bullies often pretend to be joking and having fun, when the fun is really at the expense of the other person. This is an argument for network level of mutes that you find in other online games. But SC2 was kind of before that.
@@adam88099 seemed to me like he was bantering. Maybe your friends are different but a lot of people I know do a lot of back and forth while competing in any sport, and it's just friendly lighthearted stuff. Stuff like "gotcha! Bet you didn't see that one coming, loser!" with a big grin after making a lucky shot. I've also run into people who think gg just means "hey this is a fun match so far" and have been confused when I asked them why they were gging so early.
there needs to be a, like, secret wood league, where it just _tells_ you you're still in Bronze or Silver or Gold or something, but really all it does is match you with other people who are completely and utterly as insufferable as you are.
My thought process: _Alright, this one was good at shutting down the cannon rush, so the other one will do an attack from the shadows, right? Right; then the second one does a corner base - will the first one do the Tempest turtle-crack-opening? Yeah!_
Hobbi must be one of those chess players who doesnt know you win with checkmate. He keeps sacrificing half his board to give you a check then giggling like a maniac while you sit there confused
Last time this happened to me, I tried neuralling a probe to kill them with airtoss. Sadly, my broodlords kept killing the probe before a nexus could go down.
Def was a fun game to watch but I wouldn't consider this a good entry into the salt mines. Hobbi was certainly a cheeky bugger, a bit obnoxious maybe, but this was not the salt injection I was hoping for. Thanks PiG, love your casts!
Jokes aside, if pigs advice isn't in the art of war, it very much could be, because like 90% of whats in there is "of your enemy has a fortified position, probably good idea to not attack it" and "if your enemy is expecting you to do something, try doing something else"
@14:32 "Say you are a very small island nation" As a Taiwanese: "Hey, I take that personally!!" JK PiG, I know you meant small island nation as Australia :P
In the warcraft 3 days before they added auto reveal without a town hall (and even after night elf players would still try this as you say with a tree of life) players would lose, say "well gg man" as you were destroying their "last" building. Then when it went down be like "uh, what the heck? It's bugged? I can't quit and it won't say I've lost?" In truth they had hid a farm or a burrow somewhere difficult to see without rotating your camera and were just trying to goad inexperienced players into quitting and handing them the ladder win.
Worst one for me was is in AoE 2! Fortified wall has so much hp and on Arena there sometimes is a tiny tiny path in the forested back base. Had an opponent wall across the whole screen to waste time. Luckily you can go make coffee while your army slowly work to make some use of the time.
I could be wrong so I'm asking: Could SandSlott have ended the game at 11:52 by targeting the stargate instead of trying to trying to kill 3 pylons? I know the game wouldn't end instantly (based on hobbi), but it seems to me that killing a stargate is faster and bigger than killing some pylons (especially if the opponent is not likely to be supply capped).
Ī kinda think there sould me a MMR punishment for people who lose by having all their buildings destroyed and a higher MMR reward for people who win. To try prevent time wasters. Also maybe a portrait that is forced on you for your next 2 ladder matches.
If you destroy resource building ( nexus, hatchery, c center)the rest of the building is revealed and if you destroy all the building you win, i thinks?. The issue here is hobbi keep making nexus (so no reveal) and since he still able to make buildings, no instant win.
I saw a match where I think it was hero? He went for Carriers and a big death ball but when his opponent went tempests he went phoenix with range and it destroyed the tempests. I think that might be the only logical thought process behind this move but I’m not sure
Hes either way too drunk to realize he is not amusing to anyone but himself, or still 15 and genuinely finds being a twat amusing. either way I feel bad for what I can assume to be his lack of social life.
I know this hobbi guy, super annoying cheeser. Super easy to beat, he hid building all over the map. Here is his strategy. Cannon rush> void ray> dt> carrier.
PLEASE DO AN AFK SALT CHALLENGE./ ASK YOUR CULTISTS TO RESPOND TO "GLHF" WITH EITHER "GG" OR "TLDR". IF THEY RESPOND CONTINUE WITH EITHER "QUIT ALREADY" OR "GET GUD, NOOB" OR CONTINUE TO ADD SALT. THEN THE BUILD SHOULD BE A SINGLE PROBE IN THE MAIN AND SEND A SINGLE PROBE TO THE CORNER AND BUILD A BASE THERE AND USE THAT AS YOUR MAIN, THEN DO ANY FAST RUSH BUILD. LET THEM SEE THE MAIN AND THINK YOU ARE AFK THEN WHEN THEY SEND SOMETHING TO DESTROY IT COUNTER THEIR MAIN WITH EVERYTHING YOU BUILT. WOULD REALLY LOVE TO SEE PPL CHANNELLING THEIR INNER SEWER MERMAID
21:00 actually, a cat can be dangerous to a bear. and the bear sees no reason to fight the cat over its territory, why risk loosing an eye for nothing?
Man I got thousand of ways to roast the hobi. Unfortunately Sandlott is so soft both at gameplay (kind of a coward) and defending himself against insult.
It's really not that hard to see what he's thinking by building phoenix Pig Phoenix starts with P P is for Protoss Protoss OP Should be obvious, really
then again, sandslott was at 5500/2000 at 167 supply with no units in production at the 20 minute mark, so the 100 something apm is probably hotkey or mouse spam.
naah he should have found everything in 10 seconds.. instead of selecting his units one by one he searched proxy nexuses with his entire army. thats low lvl aight.
I have a feeling Hobbi is kind of a lonely person. I know I have no way of knowing that, but I mean... who does that? It's not particularly mean, or hateful... he was just kinda wasting his time and being weird in chat the whole game lol. I feel bad for the guy.
@@frchillin1427 it's funny, I might have switched to another race if it weren't for mirror matchups. PvP and ZvZ are my least favourite matchups in the game. TvT is at least tolerable, if stressful. The best matchup is definitely TvZ though, IMO.
