I have a friend who has a rescue greyhound. Absolutely beautiful dog, and super affectionate. Greyhounds have next to no hair, and next to no body fat. And his poor dog was suffering to go outside in Virginia. He bought a coat for Ruby, but she didn't want to wear it. Until the day he forced it on her, then took her out. After that, she'd go and sit and look at her coat when she wanted to go outside. Smart dog. So yeah, if you have a pet that can't handle the cold, get them a coat. They will definitely appreciate it. Now, if your dog is an outside dog, and has the coat for it, they probably don't need it. But even then, if you live where you get ice and snow, booties are great at saving their feet. The ice and snow can cut the hell out of their tender paws.
