TLO is such a good sport going in for the handshake after the match. Usually the players ignore each other after the game which makes the game feel somewhat more casual. They're both in the same room. Not on different continents like in regular online matches.
Karlis Andersons yeah he’s awesome! One of my favorite videos was back in WoL on that space platform map shaped like a U he went from hellions straight to BC. It was amazing!
I feel people get salty and feel like it shouldn't count when someone wins in creative innovative ways like Has does. Frankly I feel like the person who wins deserves to win. When you walk into a game of SCII you should be aware that your opponent can use any and everything in the game to beat you. There's no code of honor in this game, you should be able to use every dirty trick and means at your disposal to win and it shouldn't be considered any less of a win than if you'd won in the "meta" way. This is how metas evolve, and honestly Starcraft would be a more interesting, diverse, and fun game if people tried new and unorthodox tactics like these more often. The way this game dies is when everyone plays the exact same thing and everything stagnates. The moment the players stop evolving new strategies is when this game stops becoming something worth playing in my book.
Indeed, the meta right now involves zerg getting 3 bases asap and as a response T and P push them in deadly times. My response; 1.5 bases deadly push, win 90% of times in this meta with that.
Yes, it's sad when people use normal game mentality about comp. In comp - you are on your own. It's even sadder, however, when people are influenced enough by the comp mentality to use it in normal games that are, after all, supposed to be for fun. Overwatch is a prime example of a game dying from that. This is what creates toxicity, cheaters and disheartened people.
Who remember the time when TLO was one of the gods of original/unorthodox strategy? Seeing him getting borderline pranked/trolled here is sad... the dude invented turbo 1/1/1 thor drop ffs
Pretty sure if you hold Z to morph loads of zerglings your APM spikes super high. I fyou actually try spamming like 4 hotkeys + box select it's very hard to even reach 600.
If you wanna see some more cheesy StarcCraft 2 games, look no further than the sOs vs INnoVation finals in GSL S3 that starts in just mere 11 hours and 44 minutes after this comment has been posted :D
I dont get people who consider cheese as a negative thing. I mean SC is a game of strategy and attacking first and catching your opponent offguard is a great strategy in any war. As they say, all is fair in love and war!
If Has becomes a team coach or strategist and advices maru, sos, hero, naniwa, etc those protoss players are not only going to be about sick timing and micro. They’re going to have what has lacked: good micro skills and map awareness. And Has is gonna contribute his tactics.
Every player nightmare would be has starting with oracle production tech and a 3k mineral and gas bank at the begining of the game it would be a total nightmare and this is just a random passing thought.
Banelings are not a counter to zealots. End of story. Hold on, it was not the end of the story. Hydras are not a counter to mass oracles. Now it truly ends. In both cases, scout early on and find out what is happening, make defense structures then take it to the sky to have a slim chance to win. Or simply call gg early on. Does he play to win or does he play to delay a defeat for as long as possible? The amount of resources he poured into making tier 1 units the moment he found out about the gold base and the zealot rush is mind-boggling. Sir TLO, you are already behind the moment you scouted what is happening.
Tlo should have made 1 of these two things. make a few lings to make sure the oracles stay in sos base. or mass spore crawlers beacuse sos invested alot in canons.
TLO just played this all wrong. 50+ hydras with no mutlaisk/viper or infestors to shut down oracles? Oracles is not the hardest unit to counter especially in mass like raven's are. Which is why you don't see it happening all the time in pro league. It's only good when you fault to counter it which is why it's a cheese strategy.
