I've been soooo sick for the last 6 weeks from epoxy. It's been awful. 😖 I was really sad I couldn't make cups anymore. This video gave me so much hope. And I love the cup you made.

Yes I’m glad I got rid of using it when I did. I seen some horrible pictures of how bad people got from it. It’s a whole new learning curve but the cups come out just as beautiful!

I too had allergic reactions to epoxy after about a year. So glad I found the Crystalic company. There is a learning curve but just jump in and try it. You will get the hang of it and will love their Flippin Awesome paints.

Do you know if I can use epoxy for the first coat to add the glitter and then BT for the final coats?
@CherelleDanae
@CherelleDanae 2 года назад
You have to wait 30 days before adding BT over epoxy. And you can not add epoxy over BT
@staciepriice24

Can you use mod podge to apply the glitter?
@CherelleDanae
@CherelleDanae 2 года назад
Mod posted isn’t recommended to use with glitter glue. But if you do use it, make sure to apply it with very thin coats and wait at least 48 hours to dry. Brite tone sometimes repels from mod lodge so it’s also recommended to seal it with something else like shellac spray, 4 hours drying time or a clear spray paint which is also 48-72 hours of dry time. Crystalacs Glitter Glue or E6000 spray are your best options with the least amount of dry time!

Beautiful! Can you tell me if that black glitter is a true black because on their website it looks like it has a purple tone
@CherelleDanae
@CherelleDanae 2 года назад
There’s definitely no purple in it. I wouldn’t say it’s jet black, more like a faded black
@sharonm6172
@sharonm6172 2 года назад
@@CherelleDanae Do you know who sells a jet black that doesn’t lose its sparkle?
@CherelleDanae
@CherelleDanae 2 года назад
I do not unfortunately. I know most people just use a normal black glitter and add the smallest amount of a find silver to it to get it. It’ll be jet black from the black glitter and still sparkle because of the silver

Do you really have to wait 4 hours for the BT to dry or can you use a heat gun or blow dryer to speed up the process?
@CherelleDanae
@CherelleDanae 2 года назад
No you have to wait the 4 hours if you try to dry it another way it will start to peel right off unfortunately
@kjoscrappinmama

Does BT not get air bubbles it, like epoxy does?
@CherelleDanae
@CherelleDanae 2 года назад
It can but it’s not as likely as long as your layers are not too thick. And if you do get little bubbles you can just literally blow then right out!

What do you call the tool you used with your dremel to get the nice edge and where did you get it?

How do you sand it between layers, mine seems to peel. It’s a high sierra tumbler with a handle, it was already white and a little ruff so I didn’t sand before I started putting my B.T. Is that the issue? Because I didn’t sand first, I was scared if I did the white my get scraped off
@CherelleDanae
@CherelleDanae 2 года назад
I just use a 400 grit sanding block and haven’t had any problems, I also sand pretty lightly, I’m not too rough. So it could be either your too rough or it could be the base cost of the cup, I do know BT doesn’t stick to everything and only certain bases. If it’s just the top layer peeling I would say you’re sanding too hard. But if Al the layers are peeling then I would say it’s definitely from whatever the cup is coated in.
