Only watching this one now, about two year late. I listen to the podcast regularly, but only watch the videos when I’m doing the bike at the gym. So glad Dan lost the mountain beard, lol! Leslie hasn’t aged at all!
Thanks Dan & Leslie!! I listen to your podcast on the regular and hop on RU-vid when we've got dining reservations. My family is from Oklahoma and whenever we have a trip on the books we binge your podcast, even doing some repeats. Thanks for sharing your love of Disney with some fellow Okies!
We went there today and had the fried green tomatoes, and the hummingbird cake. For entrees the Skillet Fried Chicken Paillard (new dish) and the barbecue glazed grilled pork chop. The blueberry barbecue sauce is to die for. All were great dishes.
Im binge watching thr Dining series lol. We are staying at AK Lodge next year and I had a brunch reservstion for Wine Bar George but u mentioning how good the brunch is here made me make the switch lol
On my last trip to WDW I sat at that EXACT table, and while I was eating, a monsoon decided to happen, and when I say it was pouring at the table.. I’m not over exaggerating. The water was blowing straight in through that screen window (which has no way of closing) and I was about 70% of the way done eating, but my plate was flooded with water, and I along with the rest of my party were soaking wet. Luckily a couple seats opened up at the bar where we eventually moved over to, but yeah.. My favorite restaurant, but least favorite experience lol.
Homecomin' is a must do for my sis and son and me EVERY time we visit Disney. I tell everyone to go here and they come back raving about it every time. Ugh I'm so jealous of your experience lol. I can't wait to get back to Homecomin'. It makes it so hard for us to decide to eat elsewhere lol. We love it.
We went to Homecomin' our first time just this last Aug during our annual Orlando trip. I couldn't get reservations via the Disney app but put in my name with the hostess and got in 30 min later. We also ate the fried green tomatoes and loved them! The cheese pull on the mac and cheese was immaculate! But definitely as a first timer, I'd recommend Chef Art Smith's Fried Chicken plate. That was the BEST fried chicken I've ever eaten in my life! Lastly, I had never tried moonshine before and was nervous about it but went with the moonshine flight per the waitress's recommendation which was so awesome!
Just watched this review and it looks delicious! We are having lunch in Disney Springs next week and are choosing between Homecomin' and Wine Bar George.... we had pretty much settled on WBG, but this tempts me to reconsider!
