Welcome back to the premier league Ian. Fantastic result and performance to start the season with. Doku, Kova, Rico and Ruben were all immense, but for me Bernardo was motm today, all over the pitch and at the heart of everything going forward. I’m extremely happy with that, can’t wait for Ipswich next week. Come on City.
Well a great start. My man of the match was Kova, I thought he showed that we can solve the Rodri missing thing. But I agree Doku was something else today, I also think his ball retention is getting on par with Jacks on todays performance. Not there yet but improvement for sure. I did think we look very assured today or was it just me. We played as if we had absolutely no concerns at all. But thanks Ian, fingers crossed you get loads of sponsors, if anyone deserves them it's you Ian. On to the next one.
@@blueheart2020 We weren't really under all that much pressure, other than for their disallowed goal, so we saw a lot of the ball .... but, like Chelsea, we struggled to create chances, so it was important that we took the ones we did create, because at 2-0 Chelsea 'threw the towel in' and conceded that the game was gone ...... i would call yesterday's win more 'workmanlike' than anything else, we had players missing and the stand ins needed to do a job for us .... Rico Lewis, Kovacic, Doku, Bernardo, Dias and others all put in a good shift ... and so did Savio until he departed with that leg injury ... we weren't electrifying, but we did just enough to win, and that's all that counted in the end.
Well done Ian , living in Berlin this is a lifeline for me , good to see you getting Pete in waving a flag and still going , I remmember standing at the bus stop when he was going back to town from Maine rd when he was about 30 , its great being a blue
@@Willster389 He runs himself into the ground, and did keep Chelsea occupied, yes .. but he knows his final ball isn't good enough, and his shooting ability is certainly questionable, so he still has areas of his game that he needs to work on and improve ... if he improves those, he will become a better, more effective, and more complete player, and just think how terrified defences will be then!
The two American guys. One must have been mid to late 20s. Been watching them a mere 9 years. I like Ians vids, I am 52 years of age. How do these guys get tickets for a game like this?? I must have been to near 40 UK grounds, not a chance I would get one.
Doku DID play well, he kept going and he kept Chelsea defenders occupied, nobody could doubt his overall committment .... BUT ..... it's when he reaches the oppositions box that you can see the problems ... he really needs to work on his final ball, too many of his balls go nowhere, or straight to the opposition .... and he also needs to work on his shooting ability too, which can be wayward more than its on target ..... there is no doubt that he could be a more complete, effective, and dangerous player if he could really master those areas of his game.
Great vlog as always Cheesy. I found Doku a little frustrating at times, gave the ball away cheaply but he's got time to grow. Great win at a difficult ground and with important players missing. Let's bring Gundo back this week 🙏🤞💙👍
Hi Ian, Hope you're well. I thought Savinho was immense today he has amazing technical skill and can beat defenders with ease. An amazing and exciting asset He reminds me so much of Robinho in his style of play and his control on the ball skills etc. But Savinho is much better! It's great to be a Blue! Blue Moon Banana Army🌚🍌 Maine Road 1923-2003 Never Forget The Past 💙⚽️🏆
If Chelsea want rid of Chilwell we must go in for him ! Pep wanted him a few years ago. Could easily get him for 25 million. We havent got an out and out left back. Gvardiol needs to start competing for a centre back spot.
Doku no way near man of match. Should have been Kovetic. Some lovely little short through balls past their midfield and knitted the play together perfectly well, then chipped in with a goal. Savinho ok for first match. Still gutted Bobb is injured. He was going to take off this season.
Let’s go CITEHHH! 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵💪🏼 greetings from El Salvador, a fan since Robinho…here it used to be Barcelona & Real Madrid jerseys, now the past 15 years #1 jersey that the local teams wear is Man City…
Great to see you back Cheesy and great start to the season beating Utd and Chelsea. This season seems like a different more confident vibe with the fans and players alike 🩵⚽🏆🏆🏆🏆
