I remember walking past the radio every once in a while and also checking the scores online while playing games on the old PC, I remember being amazed we were two goals up but then checking later and seeing we’re a man down and conceded one back. Immediately rolled my eyes thinking “oh here we go” then noticing later they equalised then went ahead. I wrote us off not gonna lie but then I saw it was three, three and I got hope back. Then I checked later again to see more goals were scored and more cards were given and really wanting to watch MOTD later that night!
I remember I was in London with my friends for a few drinks this boxing day. When on the underground an elderly lady asked me and my friends what the Chelsea score was. When I said 4-4 she gave me a look as if to think I was a piss taker! Bet she got a shock when she got home!
Well I think it’s safe to say this comment aged extremely well, He’s found some really good form at City now!! He’s a Premier League Winner aswell as a England International who’s in a very small elite Club of England Players who have Played in a Final of a Major Tournament(The next ones ours) and He’s a Goal Scorer in a World Cup.. I’m sure there’s many more Trophies to be Won at City and England hopefully.. So Yeah he’s done alright for a Lad from Brum 🤣🤣
Boxing day. I remember this. One of the best games I've ever seen. Back in the day when Villa were enjoyable to watch. I got very very drunk after this
I looked forward to this match for 4 months and on the morning/afternoon of Boxing Day I overslept and woke up up at 88 minutes gone on the clock. Gutted. But what a Boxing Day game For the neutrals
The players the chairman bought is what made O'Neil. As soon as the money went, he went. Thank God he is not wasting our budget these days on the likes of Habib Beye, Steve Sidwell, Marlon Harewood, Salifou, Luke Young, Zat Knight, Curtis Davies, Nicky Shorey etc etc etc

Lerner didn’t want to give money, so he had to sell some players, at least I think that’s how it goes I was only a toddler at the time, O’Neill didn’t want to rebuild and just left, don’t think he’s done a better job with anyone since and he made some very good signings but also made some very costly ones, like Curtis Davies £10m which was a lot of money back then. Lerner is a billionaire and could have easily put more money into the club so, blame has to go on to Martin O’Neill and Lerner
@@cafu-thebrazilianalanhutto6835 Nonsense. MON didn't want to sell as he'd be found out for the grifter he was. Refused to sell, unlike every PL manager. Why? He bought players he never played that were now worth peanuts. Lerner was about to find out it was all a big grift.
How does it feel? Lose Carling cup final, champions league final, premier league title and community shield in just one season? Chelsea could won 4 titles.
He gave a Chelsea penalty that was an obvious dive. The ref was right there. Then there was that 'free kick'. Still, when you have all that money you have to spend it. Plus Phil Dowd was a bad ref.
