Sonic Of Atlantis Don't be so utterly ridiculous. For goodness sake, get a grip. It feels insulting? Who is insulting you? And how exactly are they doing this? It's called sport, no-one has a right to win, no-one is entitled to win. There are ups & downs, good times & bad times, just as there is in life. The only people that have insulted the fans are the UK government with the actions they took against the club & its owner last summer. Unless you believe the players & coaching staff are intentionally losing or intentionally failing to put 100% effort into everything then I simply cannot fathom what you mean by feeling insulted. The new owners have come in & demonstrated their commitment & their big ambitions for the club in an astounding way. They are attempting to bring together a squad full of highly rated young players from around the world. And at great expense. The club made a mistake with Potter, clearly, but surely as Chelsea fans we are well used to the manager merry-go-round after the two decades of Abramovich, aren't we?

These problems have been brewing and are coming to affect in a similar way that united suffered after Ferguson’s departure. It largely dates back to the window when Havertz Ziyech and Werner we’re all bought. Chelsea have had far more transfer misses than they have transfer hits since then. Todd Boehly s chopping and changing, in addition to creating the most bloated squad in the history of football, has made these problems more noticeable and more impactful

I have been saying this for years. Yes changing manager every 1 or 2 years has delivered consistent success, but at what cost. I was recently watching a video about Chelsea in which I learnt that when Roman bought that club in 2003 he invested money in his first season but Ranieri could not win any trophies in the 03-04 season. Then they brought Jose Mourinho to the club and he was fully backed by the owner and Jose won trophies with the team. But now if they want to fully back their next manager they may need to buy a few players who are recommended by the new manager. Now I don't know much about FFP rules and I am guessing that they may not be able to back their manager next season because of their recent spending spree. So the new manager may not be able to produce good results in the next season. So it is a pretty concerning situation. But I think the owners have to support the new manager irrespective of the results to bring some type of stability in the club.

I never wanted Potter in the first place. Tuchs was asked of too much when half the back staff left. It seemed like he got all the extra work put on him. All he wanted to do was manage the team. He was put in an awful situation on top of dealing with his own issues (he was literally finalizing his divorce). He never should have been sacked at that point in the season. Lampard was brought back in so people wouldn't riot if we ended up in the exact position we are in now. That and nobody else wants to take over at that moment. Refilling the back staff such as sporting director, medical team and whatnot puts the team in the right direction. It's frustrating to hear horror stories like the Ziyech PSG deal. When the wizard is feeling it, he is magical to watch. With his reactions on the pitch to certain situations I just felt like he just wasn't meshing with the team. I thought we should let him leave. Instead they spent $100+ million on a cone that cries to ref everytime a bigger opponent pushes him off of the ball.

The other is some of the signings just haven't worked out, but that happens to every big club. It didn't help to have the English Government freezing Abramovich's assets. Now they have an owner who doesn't understand the beautiful game. If Abramovich had stayed, I'm pretty sure Tuchel would still be the manager, and he would've bolstered the squad in the summer of 2022. Tuchel had a rocky start this season, due to terrible transfer deals, with Barcelona hijacking the Chelsea targets. Therefore Tuchel was stuck with many of the same players. Unfortunately, Tuchel was sacked. I understand sacking Potter, but I think Bruno would be doing a better job than Lampard, which is another thing that still baffles me. Frank Lampard's 1st season with Chelsea was phenomenal, but after buying Havertz, Werner, and so many others, he wasn't utilizing them properly. Lampard has the IQ of 150, sadly that doesn't apply to his managing skills.

Why was there a rush to go and spend all that money in the January transfer window, it was like Brewsters millions. This club is a complete shambles

When just buying with no direction or Vision of the club and unfortunately Chelsea can't get away with it anymore because a lot of teams have wallets also.

I feel like Chelsea didn't sign players who gelled together. Take for instance Mudryk and James. These two are opposites in playing style. They didn't have any balance between youngsters and experienced players. Their midfield has no depth thanks to injuries and every one of their wingers is different and the striker problem is really hindering their goalscoring possibilities

As a chelsea fan, theres literally one reason why we're doing so poorly this season, one word: Goals. We have scored 30 goals in the prem this season, which is terrible once you realize we have played thirty two games. We're not averaging a goal a game. We're on pace, generously, for 36 goals, which is probably not attainable considering we still have to play every single team in the top four with our last remaining 6 games. Just for context, 36 goals in a season would be the worst tally for Chelsea since the 1923/1924 season. That's 99 years ago. Why aren't we scoring goals? To put it simply, the player with the most appearances this year is Kai Havertz, a guy who is completely unmotivated, motionless in the box, and finishes like a donkey. Our defense isn't terrible, but our attack needs serious sorting. I can't say we've had an offensive tactic of any sort since Sarri. Lampard told players to "go out and express themselves", and left it at that. Tuchel didn't really have one either, as our CL winning run was spurred on by a defensive masterclass. Potter sure as hill didn't have one other than slapping Havertz at ST and keeping Mudryk, Makuele, Mount and every other talented player on the bench in favor of Conor Gallagher (our second highest appearing player). Nagelsmann has offensive tactics, Enrique has offensive tactics, but no, they aren't Yes men. Will Poch figure something out? Time will tell, but I'm not putting a single cent on it.

This video hurt as a fan, but it described Chelsea this season. The Poch part of the video is his prem proven and overachieved with Sp*rs and having no Europe will be very beneficial to him as it gives him loads of time to bed in his ideology, but him being ex sp*rs is the biggest red flag, and if it fails who's next?

I definitely think they will have the last laugh. He is an owner who cares about the club. First season was a disaster but now they have the best team in every department and everybody are on rhe same page. They have very good talentsat their disposal. So i think the project will be successful. Let's see

I am Ukrainian, but paying 100 mln for Mudryk was a ridiculously stupid idea. There were rumors in Ukraine couple months before the transfer that Shakhtar put the price tag of 100 mln and everyone thought Shakhtar was just delusional. Apparently they weren't xD

The problem was not sacking Tuchel. We’ve been in horrible form for the calendar year of 2022. The problem when he was sacked, after spending money on “his players” and bringing in Potter without a preseason. Boehly also needs to clear out some players, a lot of them have been here for a while and keep letting us down. All our January signings have shown promise, even mudryk who was overpaid for still has a future. The summer was more hectic and there were a few misses due to no footballing people on the board. People talk about the money spent but don’t even factor we’ve overpaid and a lot of the signings bar 2/3 are based on potential. Basically all the struggles and spending that a team in transition over goes in like 3-4 seasons has been compounded into just one, that’s why we’ve been so bad. Which helps my argument about the needing of a clear out. I’m not worried for next season, we’ll be alright. Poch in and a proper summer will do

I think for Chelsea, it's just lack of discipline and aim on the pitch. It seems that Chelsea players don't play for each other. Looks like they're doing what they know as individual players and know less about playing as a team. There's brilliant dribbles and passes but those plays go nowhere.

This is probably the worst season chelsea has had since I was a fan of them since 2009. I heard that pocchetino might be the new manager next season so hopefully he can fix chelsea. Chelsea need players that plays well together, not individual players that have no idea what they are doing and can't score. Smh

A mess this season but lets be honest they will be challenging for title next season with no Europe, all their top signings they will be miles ahead of most teams bar City. They have had no 7-0, 6-3, 6-1 thrashings like the Utd, Spurs that people will remember for decades. This season will be forgotten by the time chelsea win their next major trophy which will be sooner than 18 of the other premier league teams
