Expected goals os rhe most bs stat ever invented and taking any notice is pointless. Nunez is world class at bearly scoring just like liverpool are world class at nearly winnong the league, perfect fit!
The thing is he embodies the Liverpool way. He has the agression , he has that pace , he has that workrate , he has the talent but the amount of chances he has missed is just absurdly high . He is too inconsistent to be a no 9. Next year will be a rebuild season (hoping for trophy though ) its perfect time to slot to experiment with him possibly at lw. The thing salah is goona eventually slow down , thats inevitable. But our academy and bench has young passionate players who have the talent and do work hard. Eliot will be a great rw , when the time eventually comes . Lucho (diaz) is just like nunez and his finishing is bad too. Gakpo will take the no 9 from him, if he doesn't perform well. And because diaz is so good ( only lacks finishing)and jota can play both lw and st nunez will have to sit on bench .The next season will be decider for him.
FIFA or EA FC youtubers are the scum of the universe. Everyone of them offers discount for buying "coins" which is ILLEGAL - HOW ARE THEY ALLOWED TO KEEP THEIR CHANNELS???!!!!
Funny thing is that we never respected anyone who spent money on FIFA points at school back in the FIFA 13-14 days if we were going to play FUT it had to be legit.
I think if Nunez was playing for a club like City, for example, he’d be off by July. Liverpool, meanwhile, don’t have that ‘ruthlessness’ & in previous seasons that’s also been on Klopp (i.e. he wanted to keep James Milner when it was clearly time to move him on). So, Nunez more than likely stays on and in agreement with Carra, he won’t improve. Granted, I would love to be proven wrong, but it will probably take him costing Liverpool on the highest stage before he is sold.
As a Latin American and Liverpool fan I want Núñez and Díaz to succeed, but I also can't stop thinking they missed clear chances that if they scored, maybe we would still be playing for the league title. They do bring passion to the game (something that we can't say for everyone) and you can tell they want to win, for themselves, the club and the fans. Strikers always go through periods of highs and lows, so we will have to see next season how they perform with a new coach and system
People keep saying Nunez suffers from confidence issues but I can't see where thats coming from. There were been plenty of moments since he joined where he had some great back to back performances he could've gone out of the kit asap and try to build on that and has failed
I’m not a Liverpool fan in anyway but he hasn’t been the absolute worst And everything at that club is about to massively change maybe he does well under this slot guy who knows
Nunez has been given more compassion by Liverpool fans than any other underperforming big money striker in recent memory. Its time for him to put up and score sitters.
I dont think that Brentford chipped goal was composed. It perfectly summed up what goes on in his mind. Why would he even think of attempting that instead of an easier finish. Michael Owen calle it out and was attacked for it.
haha typical liverskunks in the comments,.. "awk poor wee 85 million pound baby" llf he is crap, hes cost use the league, for 85 million...🤣🤣🤣 and now no Kloppit,... priceless
As a Liverpool fan I love him gives everything for the club and works so I also think he gets very unlucky at times with the amount he hits the woodwork if he can just be a bit more composed and work on the timing of his runs think he could be a very good goal scorer
If the Feyernoord coach (arnés I believe that’s his name) is hired then Darwin might be replaced by Santiago Giménez(Mexican striker that plays for Feyernoord).
Haaland is a generational talent Nunez is good but nowhere near that level, he is basically a plan B. If your best option cannot join you, you call Darwin. Same with Hojland at United To be honest, I don’t think he has the football IQ to get to the next level Next season is make or break season for him. If he cannot turn it around, I could see him move to a smaller club in EPL, or to a different league. He is basically heavily relying on his raw physical talent, the pace, the aggression, the energy, but that can only take you so far. Liverpool cannot rely on a striker that cannot even break 15 goals in the league while taking the most shots per game and offsides the most in the league.
I have absolutely 0 worries about darwin, hes improving all the time and his work rate is unmatched, he wants to be good, he just wants it a little too much and to be fair to him, hes not the only Liverpool forward that cant finish all the time, Diaz gets all the praise but he has terrible finishing too, hes just silky enough to get away with it more. Watch this space, he will click. A change in system will probably help him out. Im excited for his future as a Liverpool fan.
I'm a Liverpool fan, so this is my take: I think that, even if the expectations were unfair, his performance is unexcusable. One season missing lots of goals is acceptable, now two in a row is unacceptable. I'd maybe give him another season, and if he doesn't finaly start shining, he should be sold. I didn't expect him to be the best, but what he did disappointed me.
I thought the display at St. James this year was gonna be the turnaround. Coming off the bench and scoring two goals with the team down to 10 men. Two goals of ridiculously high quality. I was thinking "oh no, this is where he launches from" But that performance, just like before, was an anomaly. We get flashes of brilliance mixed with a lot of fluffing his lines. I can't imagine how frustrating that's gotta be for Liverpool fans.
Really didn’t think you was that guy Vizeh thought you was a more level headed football RU-vidr oh no let’s jump on the Darwin Nunez hate bandwagon young South American player trying to make his way at one of the best and most famous clubs in the world 29 g+a this season fuck off vizeh
Liverpool fan here. I’d stick with Nunez one more season, I think we play much better with him in the side. He creates “chaos” (everyone says it but it’s true) he makes defenders second guess themselves, has that raw pace which is a great outball and is very selfless. Let’s be honest, if he put away the easy chances this season he’d be considered the best striker in the league. However, that’s a big if. I’d be more concerned if he wasn’t getting into goal scoring positions, so I say give him one more year, if he can hone in on his finishing and timing of runs we could have a real monster on our hands, which we’ve seen glimpses of this season, but if he doesn’t next season I’d be looking to sell
