@@MyFavoriteSportsballTeam Pablo's feel is so much more complex and satisfying, and I can't be the only one that wants that bassdrop at the end breakdown to be in the studio version
Fans may highly disagree but i think if they did a whole Desolation Of Eden re-imagined style with Toms different vocal styles and his whole dynamic would be so dope! Especially with all the ways they switch this song up live! And have Pablo on drums and do vocals too! The original would always be there but its an idea I've thought would be amazing!
@@micahsmith3656 he does know the lyrics Many deathcore do "mumble" sometimes as they can't go all out on every concert, they have to save some energy and be able to sustain a good show Look up cj from thy art is murder He also does it often, it is nothing new really
Still to this day one of the dopest breakdowns in history! Like holy shit fam, that last breakdown at 3:40 with the huge bass drop gives me chills. When the China hit briefly drops-out after the beastly Bass Drop, that part is just insane while they're all crabbing in-sync. I miss these days
i was there and at 3:58 when the bass dropped, i felt myself move around in a circle. that bass drop is something you have to experience in person; it was so fucking dope!
This was the initial video/song that introduced me to Chelsea Grin. Fast forward a couple years later, I finally saw them live in Cleveland last week. Great show!
I'm the biggest CG fan out there, have their artwork tatted on me and everything. I loved Alex and all he's done for the band and the deathcore scene with his extremely unique vocals. With that being said, Tom is an absolute monster. I like him in the band A LOT
Well mate, time to cover up your CG tattoos, because all Alex did for deathcore scene is showed how NOT to do vocals. Recording songs for half a year because he can't even scream a single word the same way twice. Practicing one a month, spending more time doing anything BUT practicing or trying to actually learn a proper technique. His last years in CG and in his current project even professional sound engineers can't fix his "amazing" vocals to make them sound good. Now about Tom - have nothing against this guy, but if he will continue to use this type of screaming instead of learning a good technique - he will join Alex in a year or two.
dude have you seen them live with Alex? he was actually good aside from that one run after Evolve came out. Look at the full set CaliberTv uploaded from this year, Alex was a tank. He continuously changed his vocal technique for longevity. and Tom's technique? have you listened to Lorna Shore? he's a tank and always has been wether its Lorna or CG... Tom revived this band
Im a fan of each album for their own reasons BUT Personally, I think the band is in the best shape of their careers. I cant wait to see what they do next. Eternal Nightmare is incredible & these guys seem to have a chemistry that I think is gonna work out for the band!
Elias Pablo is switching from straight quarter notes on the stack leading the down beat to half notes on the stack leading the upbeat giving it an odd meter feel
Devin smith metric modulation isn’t About the keys. It’s about speeding up/slowing down even though the tempo stays put. It’s derived from the value of the note(s)/grouping(s) before the change.
@@keenman0403 Nah, he goes from 4/4 to 3/4 and the HEAVY breakdown following the crazy shit he hits dotted quarters in 3/4, me and my band just wrote a breakdown similar to this with pretty much the same transition. If we were to get really technical, it could be either 3/4 OR 4/4 depending on how you count it, but from a metronome + sheet music standpoint, its easier to write it AND count it in 3/4. It just lines up easier. Hope this clears things up a little for anybody else that was wondering.
This song has evolved so much over the years. A timeless classic. This was the first song I ever heard by Chelsea Grin, back in late 2010 I want to say. This is by far my favorite version of it
Athos Oliver there have been heavier songs for a while lol listen to tom back in 13’ when he was still with Lorna Shore and they tracked Godmaker. Its such a nasty song. Probably my favorite piece to show tom’s brutal vocals
I will never forget the first time seeing them live. I had NEVER even heard of these dudes. I hear some blood curdling screams coming from a distant stage..... instant fan.
