@nerdherd72 Oh please... Ivanka Trump has put herself into an active, unelected role in the White House, where her and her husband both have full security clearance, so she knows what's up. And when a component of the zero tolerance immigration policy went into effect, resulting in children being separated from their parents at the US-Mexico border, Ivanka tweeted a photo of herself cuddling her son. She posted a photo of familial bliss on the same day the news were full of reports of families being torn apart. There's no way that was an accident. That was actually her playing to Trump's specific base that it's white families like hers who are important, not the brown families that Trump is breaking up. If perchance that wasn't her intention, then Ivanka is "tone-deaf" and insensitive to the plight of the American people. In either case, she deserves the mocking.

Also, it seems that you're missing the point - comedians use comedy and satire as an effective platform to promote knowledge, awareness, and political influence.
@nerdherd72 And lastly, criticizing Chelsea for "making a living off of attacking people" is moot because it's the consistent positive audience reception and fans that ultimately pay her paycheck. If people didn't like her comedy, no one would react to her, and she wouldn't be the A-List celebrity she is today. If anybody is to blame, it's the public.

In a country so large as the U.S. doesn't it make more sense for individual states to spend money on early warning systems as THEY deem useful? California vs. Connecticut for example.
