I am from the Basque Country, north of Spain and from all the places I have lived in for working and studying in the UK, Cheltenham Spa Town, is by far one of the best places to live in, in the UK. A very complete Regency building Spa Town with the famous literature festival, the races the University of Gloucestershire etc. Very good video, thanks for all the information❤❤❤❤❤.
Someone who lives there told me that Gloucester is spillings its borders into Cheltenham. Gloucester was once known as an affluent and desireable place to live but that is no longer the case. Cheltenham is now, apparently, seeing a massive increase in immigrants and some areas predominantly populated by immigrants. They reckon that within 5 years, Cheltenham will suffer the same fate as Gloucester and people will start leaving for more rural areas.
Sorry, but you are incorrect. There are not a huge number of immigrants in Cheltenham. Also, Gloucester is 9 miles away so there is still a definite divide.
@@NicolaSturgeon-pl4bs I am a Cheltonian. Born and bred and now of pensionable age. I have told you the truth. I live in Cheltenham. Of course there are SOME immigrants here but not a huge number. If you walked down the Promenade or High Street you would not see a large number of dark faces. There are far more in Gloucester and Cheltenham is a lot more expensive than Gloucester. I do not know how long your friend has lived here or where she comes from but those are the facts.
You may not have noticed Cheltenham to Gloucester the golden valley more land has been bought and building has started on houses and other buildings,@@valeriedavidson2785
@@valeriedavidson2785you don't need to see dark faces, if you haven't noticed there's a lot of migrants hear from northern Europe Poland Lithuania and so on there slowly taking over, go to the car boot behind the racecourse and spot the britt,
Excellent video and I learned a lot about my hometown, thank you very much. A pity you didn’t include the Boys’ College but Edward Wilson represents it well enough. 😊
It is not ONE OF the most complete Regency towns in England ,it is THE most complete Regency town. Also, as a Cheltonian, the Racecourse is the premier National Hunt racing festival, NOT the Grand National. It is the home of National Hunt racing.
