My first detailing video and review was done using Chemical Guys Carbon Force Ceramic coating and as it can happens for the first time trying something I had some high spots to take care of. In this video, I will give an update on how the car looks after a few months with the Ceramic and just how to get rid of those imperfections with products you most likely already have in your garage.

@@mrsarcazim Keep em coming! Nothing to me is more important than seeing a small channel unaffected by "sponsorship" giving reviews of a product I want to apply to my investment. To me its a 2018 f150, to some it may be a 95 Honda, others perhaps a 2021 bmw m5. Regardless, regardless of sub count, you came up where you should be on my feed and I got VALID information. If only RU-vid worked like this with politics instead of pushing agendas we wouldn't have the embarrassing sore in office we do now :P

Looks good. I have 3 cars I take care of. I used Adams on my mother in law’s and Ethos on my wife’s. I like the Ethos much better. Sheeting and self clean is much better. I was planning on using Chemical Guys on my Audi S6 but decided against it. I Thankyou for the review. You car turned out great and hope it stays that way for years. My current coating is CQuartz UK 2.0 at 3 years. It’s reached it’s lifespan. As for the windshield in your last video, it definitely helps a big amount. Also, don’t forget to pull each wheel, clean and coat. It takes me 2 hours a wheel. 2 hours to decon wash a car and 10-12 hours to paint correct a normal car. Like you, I’m an amateur. I’ve ceramic coated 5 cars in my life. Cheers!

Did the polish remove the carbon force and reapplied it?? Or did just can of take down the high spots??

Didn't you just remove the coating by polishing it all off? Did you re apply a new coating? Also is this a self leveling product or did you find it to work like that? Thanks

I had to use A polish compound to buff out the high spots. It’s certainly not self leveling and not the easiest to apply compared to some other products. Lots of care needs to be taken to apply evenly and buff it out in a short amount of time. That’s what caused the high spots is to thick in areas and I must not have buff good enough

How did you get these high spots? Didn't you inspect the work during application?

Honestly, I think it was really just a rookie mistake in the first place. I had already spent 6 hours polishing and prepping the car for the ceramic when I should have spilt up the work so I could have payed better attention for the last part. That being said, one of the big downsides for me for the Carbon Force is seeing when it flashes versus some of the other products and cars I have done. you really have to get to it fairly quick to buff versus leaving it on for 5 mins or more. I believe that may have been the secondary reason I had high spots. Thanks for watching!

@@mrsarcazim Thanks for sharing your experience. We all learn and I've learnt something from you. I'm totally new to ceramic coating. So we have to keep an eye on the time it takes to flash at the beginning of the coating, maybe using a stopwatch, and find the perfect time for the product we are applying??

@@mrsarcazim is it easy to miss high spots during application? In your video they look so prominent. Are they not so prominent during application when we can fix them easily?
@mrsarcazim

@@nasdoc1 in addition to keeping an eye on time, being really through in the final wipe to get the excess coating off is where I would focus. I really like the Adams Graphene coating better and will not use the chemical guys next time. Check out my other videos on that, but look for more in the spring when I try some other products out

@@mrsarcazim We don't have the Adams graphene coating. I would have loved to put that on my car. Thanks for the tip. It's going to be very helpful.

You had high spots because you did'nt use a stripper like Clean Slate... Clean Slate Wash, Iron Remover, Clay Bar, Polish, Use Wipe Off then Chemical Guys Carbon Force Ceramic......You skipped some crucial steps
@mrsarcazim
@mrsarcazim 2 года назад
I did all of those step on the initial paint correction. High spots are from the application of the coating not getting properly wiped off in enough time before hardening, not because I missed those steps. Thanks for watching and your comment though...
