A video featuring the Chemin de Fer de la Baie de Somme in Northern France, filmed between May 8th. and 13th. 2022. Locos seen are Corpet - Louvet No. 15 built in 1925 and Pinguely No.101 built in 1905
Lovely video, thanks Austin. Great variety of locations and clever use of the drone. I share Nige's liking of the silhouette, with a number of factors coming together nicely. Was this your first visit? (Apologies if I've asked that before!) Kind regards, Bob
Thanks very much Nige, I'd intended to use the drone a lot more for scenic shots as well as the odd train but after Sunday the winds were too strong for flying
Yes, between St.Valery and Noyelles is dual gauge which has allowed them to bring in standard gauge locos when galas are staged. Locos from the Kent and East Sussex amongst others have featured
Thanks Dave, it's a great railway and they do a superb gala every couple of years. We've been quite a few times , St.Valery is only just over an hour from the channel ports
Very nice coverage Austin with good views from the drone. Must get over there again this summer it's been a while with all that's gone on. Cheers Phil.
Excellent ! Of course it's one of my familiar destination, only ca 200 km from where I live. I lke the shots from a drone, they show the train crossing ponds and swamps : you can only see this from above. Cheers.
