A few shots of locos working on the Chemin de Fer de la Baie de Somme filmed between 7th and 12th.May 2023. Locos featured include Pinguely 101 built 1905, Haine Saint Pierre No.15 built 1921 and diesel BB60002 built in 1980. Trains are seen between St.Valery sur Somme and Noyelles and between Noyelles and Le Crotoy with the diesel seen working on the line to Cayeux sur Mer.
Apologies for a fair amount of wind noise and some distortion as I didn't have the blimp with me and the volume was set too high on the camera I was using

Excellent footage Austin, nice to see something a little different with the highlight being the double departure and your drone shot of the raised straight section reminded me a bit of the Cob, cheers 👍

Very cool video. The New York Times just ran an article abouyt the CdF la Baie de Somme today (online) so it's great to see the trains in action!

A great sequence of some very capable and noisy engines, Austin. Certainly whets my appetite for some continental steam. I like the old school bell at 5:20 and the shot of the two trains passing and diverging at the end is very unique.

Thanks David, the bay of the Somme is a wonderful area for wildlife, walking and cycling with the railway being a great bonus. The old school bell was actually the warning for the crossing just behind us on a minor road

Thanks Dave, yes the bay is rich in wildlife especially birds plus the largest grey seal population in France. It's well worth a visit with St. Valery being a lovely place to stay

Many thanks Steve, the double departures are always worth seeing, could have done with the second train getting away more or less the same time as the other which has been the case when I've filmed in the past

Absolutely wonderful ! I am surprised I wasn't there, as it is not too far from where I live (Disneyland). Baie de Somme is one of our favourite place...with Ribblehead.

Thanks very much, the double departure is always worth seeing, second train was a little bit slow to catch up unfortunately
