I had childhood cancer, and I used to get apple juice every time I had treatments, and now I can't even smell apple juice, even though it's been well over 40 years since I went through it. But having something to get you through your time is invaluable, so banana pancake it up as long as it works for you!

As someone who’s currently going thru chemo, I can appreciate how surprised and pleased you were when you were able to conjure the word, “adept.” 😂

What I truly love about these vlogs is that I may just be dumb for not knowing more about what chemotherapy is like, but I always just pictured someone was never out of a bed for the entirety of diagnosis to remission/cure. While I get that there’s many days of not feeling well, I always imagined every single day from start to finish was just being hardly alive, but these show me you can sit on your own couch and watch tv, you can ride in a car, stand in your kitchen. I guess my point is, anyone about to (God forbid) go through this, they can see you don’t cease to exist during chemo. Life is just different. Albeit very uncomfortable, but I’m sure it’s got to be so comforting to someone out there to see you do things. And now I’ll go pray I didn’t just manifest it for myself 👀

You know I’m proud of you, so here’s a story. I went to a tea thing for a baby shower. It was so fancy! I felt really out of place as a trashcan human. That is until . . . The chicken and waffles course came out. It was a breaded chicken nugget on a quarter of an eggo. I was put to much ease about my place. ❤️

My mom survived breast cancer twice and the first time I was really little and didn’t understand what was going on and the second time I was a self absorbed college student. Watching your videos has given me some insight to what she was going through and we’ve been able to talk about it because of your videos. Dear Grace, I’ve looked up to you and wished you well for so many phases of your life. From New Jersey improv to new Los Angeles apartments to goose and boyfriends to drinks and allergies and everything in between. I feel like we’re sisters. This is just another phase, like the what’s up fuckers phase, that you will expand and grow out of. One day we will look back on this phase the same way we look back on you moving coasts, or taking on tv, or losing a whole channel. This is life, and we all can’t thank you enough for letting us in the way you do. Not to be sappy, but sometimes that sweetness is necessary. You’re our girl. The not-so-great feelings about looking sick are all valid, however it is the body you're in at the moment and making a dress up video isn't promoting anything but the clothes. And the most important thing is, you were excited to do it! If anyone interprets you being you, wearing clothes and having a good time as promoting weightloss they're nuttier than squirrel poo and need to hibernate.

Neuropathy isn’t something that doctors told us much about and hit my partner, my guitar playing partner, hard! Thankfully, a couple years later and his hands are pretty much back to normal and his feet at like 70%! SO, I’m so glad they are helping your body fight it off! Icy Queen!

I had my gallbladder removed this summer and now I have to watch my fat intake super closely and it made me spiral into food panic. So now I have yogurt with frozen blueberries, walnuts, and honey at least twice a day cause it's the only thing that makes me feel like I'm eating real food and doesn't make my pancreas freak out. Basically, I understand the food fixation based on comfort 😂 those pancakes look so good though

My Mom is a survivor and advocate. She has metastatic disease so she will be on some form of treatment for the rest of her life. Her first time going through chemo I was 19, I went to a few rounds with her it’s amazing how much things have changed for the better. Sending you lots of love Grace. I haven’t made it through one of your videos without crying since you were diagnosed but it’s almost helping me heal in a way too. I’m appreciating and am going to make sure I hug my Mom tight when I see her tonight.

I live across the country and feel helpless not being there. You remind me that things can be “normal” in the midst of going to treatment and battling up hill sometimes. It’s reminded me that even tho I may think of her with cancer, SHE is trying to live as normally as possible and to not just focus on that. Grace I've been watching since the beginning but I'm one of those lurker weirdos! I just wanted you to know that the thought of getting cancer has been one of my OCD triggers for the longest. Through this journey with you, I feel like if my body decides to join the club of mutiny that I'll actually fight back and not be losing my mind. I used to vlog way back in early youtube and understand the weird dichotomy of not wanting to share your entire life, but also feeling as if you can use what you have to show experiences. Sharing this took and continues to probably take a lot from you. I really hope when this concludes and you've kicked it's ass that you'll rest up and consider taking a little day trip or longer with just you and Elliot so you can just feel all the emotions, especially the good ones. My mom never really had hair or armpit sweat again after her chemo/radiation. Admittedly she was also on tamoxifen so not sure if that affected it. Puberty-striken preteen me was always jealous of that side effect
