Thank you for sharing your videos. I was diagnosed with breast cancer as well. I was extremely sick during chemo while experiencing everything that you mentioned and then some. I lost a lot of weight because stomach aches, lack of appetite, being unable to taste and soreness in my throat. After chemo I had surgery and then received radiation which wasn’t that bad for me only experiencing hyperpigmentation and some fatigue. I also received immunotherapy chemo and now awaiting reconstruction surgery. All in all I’m blessed! I have a very supportive and loving bunch of prayer warrior family and friends that helped me through. I just really appreciate your braveness and strength to enlighten others😇

I thank you for this. You are so fun and beautiful. I have breast cancer and am going through chemo. My hair fell out already, but my lack of appetite and loss of taste are far worse. I don't enjoy food the way I used to but hopefully that will come back. My positive attitude keeps me going as yours seems too as well. Again, thanks so much.

I'm gearing up for this journey. Surgery on Valentines Day. 😬 I don't have kids and the Doctor says chemo may impede my ability to do so in the future. Just turned 40 (1-31). Has this been your experience? I really want to conceive after all this is over.
@maplejubilee

Dh P - I had surgery on Vday last year. What a coincidence! As for chemo and kids I think it just depends on your own body. I went into medical menopause during the chemo but as soon as I finished chemo all my female functions went right back to normal. No issues for me after chemo. I pray you have a successful surgery and journey. Stay strong and remember God is in control!!!🙏🏾😊

Hello just found your videos today. I have my second treatment Monday. I have a total of four. I'm curious about your scarves are they premade or did you create the bun? The worst for me thus far is the mouth sores. I have a mastectomy first. I would love to talk to you. Be blessed sweetie.
@maplejubilee
@maplejubilee 7 лет назад
Hi Mary! I hope all went well today. I created my bun. I watch a lot of tutorials on youtube😊 My favorite videos are from a company called The Wrap Life. I didn't get any mouth sores so I hate to hear that. Although my tongue did turn blackish-blue. I opted for the lumpectomy vs. mastectomy. How did your surgery go? Good luck with everything!! Blessings!!!🙏🏾

No, I had a lumpectomy and they tested my actual skin cells & 4 lymph nodes. All were clear. Now I have a breast MRI every year.

Did you have any gastrointestinal issues? I had breast cancer surgery oct 2020 start chemotherapy probably in Dec waiting to get all CT Scans back and port placed on Dec 3 2020 after chemo once a week for 12 weeks I start 30 days radiation. I just hear the horror stories of chemo. Thank you for your post
@maplejubilee

No I didn't. Chemo honestly is different for everyone. I would get nauseous sometimes but I never threw up. The biggest side affects were medical menopause, hot flashes, fatigue and losing my hair. But again everyone is different. It also depends a lot on the kind of chemo drugs you are given because they also have different side affects.

I just found your channel and I’m in love. August 22’ will be a whole year from my last dose of chemo. I finally got my menstrual back today. How long did it take yours to return? Did the hot flashes stop for you? Lastly, when your hair begin to get thick but still short, how did you style your hair? I use the same Cantù products that you used. Im looking like Florida evans now. Can’t wait for my hair to grow. I’ve always had long natural hair too.
@maplejubilee
@maplejubilee 2 года назад
Mine came back in 2 months. And yes the hot flashes stopped thank God lol. And that thick short stage for my hair was rough. I didn’t know what to do. I ended up putting a texturizer in it for about 6 months and totally regretted it. That was the first time I had ever up chemicals in my hair. I just wanted to see what it was like. Big mistake lol. Had to cut that out and start all over again. Finally I just had to wait and give it time to grow. I just did braids and wash and gos until it grew out long enough for me to start back getting it pressed/flat ironed.

How soon after your first treatment did your hair fall out?
@maplejubilee
@maplejubilee Год назад
It was after my 2nd and 3rd treatment. And it also depends on the frequency of your treatments. My doctor had me doing chemo once a week.

Good morning/afternoon, has your skin gotten dry? if so, do you use a special moisturizer?
@maplejubilee
@maplejubilee 7 лет назад
Yes my skin was a little dry but I didn't use a special moisturizer. Now that I am doing radiation I have to use a special moisturizer to keep from burning too bad. I am using Cetaphil on my radiation areas.
