Tamilnadu is now one of the top 5 revenue generators for the Central Government. Yet, look at how pathetic the Central Government treats Chennai and the South, in general. Most investments go to States which are net revenue negative, or the moocher states. Thanks, Mr. Modi. Southern States should form a coalition and push their agenda strongly and ensure that development projects are proportional to revenue contribution, not based on imaginary reasoning, favoritism, or corruption.

I was a native of George town, our streets still have the best drainage system built by British. Any amount of rain there won't be any stagnation of water. Now due to encroachment the streets look narrow. Streets like Thambu chetty street, Armenian st, first line beach Road etc are as wider as Broadway. The Broadway now looks narrow due to the shops and commercial establishments encroaching the TRAM road, we original madrasis call Broadway as Tram road,

1965 யிலிருந்து செ‌ன்னை வாசி. கச்சேரி சாலை பக்கம் போனால் பாரம்பரிய நாட்டு மருந்து கடை காணவில்லை. Metro வுக்காக கடை மாற்றி விட்டார்கள். இப்படி சென்னையை குதறிப் போட்டு விட்டார்கள். மனம் வலிக்கிறது 😞
