Love this!💖 So you’ve followed her for 60 years that makes you what, 61 and a half? 😉😚 I’m a die hard Cher fan. I’m 28 so first came to know her with “Believe” when I was 3 and ever since I feel in love and have dove into her catalogue of music and continued to follow her career since. Only wish I was born in a different generation so I could see first hand the impact she had in all those different decades. Saw her live 5 years ago best night EVER and would do it all over again every day 🥰

In the '70s I went to their TV show and Cher's TV show after her breakup with Sonny. She's absolutely fabulous and was so proud of her when she won the Oscar for Moonstruck.

Jennifer was giving her best to honor Cher and i believe Cher would have wanted her to. Cher is secure in her own skin and established enough to let others shine together with her on stage. Cher proved that she could match Jennifer's energy, not the high notes but their ranges are different to begin with.

Right...and they've definitely never visited a predominantly black church with a choir! LOL! It's called black excellence and soul!

That made me tear up seeing Cher and JHud singing together. I'm pretty sure they practiced together so Cher knew what JHud was capable of. ❤

I agree that this is just how she sings. I also think that is a shame that she did not throttle back as to not overpower the legend that she was singing a duet with. I guess I expect performers who are performing together to perform together, not as a solo performance. It comes across as tone deaf otherwise.

She’s not a versatile singer, so don’t know what you’re talking about. She sang this in a non-flattering way. Was off key in many places and the adlibs were unnecessary, lacking any musically and pitchiness. Mariah (despite vocal issues) came in like a master, still on key and on pitch.

It was lipsyching and using auto tune. I've always been a fan of her but she is up in age and guess she can't sing that much anymore

That performance was mostly all lipsynched by Cher... There were a couple times where you could actually hear her singing, but it was an overall good and iconic performance.

She lipsyncs the verses of Believe because of the vocal effects, which are a big part of the reason the song was such a hit. She sings the chorus live. This is how she's always done it with this song.
